How is it with smoking cigars in the factory? I saw there some working people smoke cigars - are they allowed to smoke few pieces a day? Or must they pay (in any way) for the cigars?
And in 4:04 there are some people with fresh tobacco leaves and some bags on their shoulders (as if they are going home from the work?) - are they taking this leaves to the factory or ...?
Watching a master like Don Pepin roll a cigar...just...wow he makes it look easy, many years of skill show, go to his site- El Rey de los Habanos there are a couple pics of Pepin as a young Torcedor in Cuba.
I read that Don Pepin takes very good care of his people, it shows here.
if you want to support, now is the time, massive storms right now, hard times.
if you like the Cuban Classic black label, give the Esteban Carreras Habano maduro a try...freakin awesome smokes...both of em.
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. I don't know how Don Pepin does it, but in terms of taste, his cigars most closely mimic Cubans of any that I have ever smoked - but Pepin's cigars are of MUCH better quality. Thanks for the hard work you and your people do Pepin!
Cuban cigars are not the end all be all of cigars and some are quite over rated. At the end of the day it is all about personal taste. I have had cuban cigars and those I've had are really, really good! However, when you get past the whole "cuban" mystique they are really just another cigar!
Mi Pedasito de tierra esteli donde yo naci , y donde tengo muchos recuerdos de mi niñes recuerdo cuando tenia 13 Años y caminaba por sus calles con mis amigos que siempre los recuerdo i love you esteli
i would love to come across a nice one i would marry her and ship in cigar leaves or grow my own and i would pay her excellent money to roll them for me
There are many cigars that taste great and have a very low price tag. Try the Bahia red maduro. 20 wonderfull cigars for only 35 bucks. I'm having one right now.
I agree that Pepin is currently making some of the best cigars being offered at the moment. Tatuaje cabinet and Havana VI are some that come to mind. Also the JJ lines and, hell I even like the JJ Maduro which many aren't very fond of. But if you really wnat to try a good "Pepin Creation", give the 601 green label a try. My favorite is the figurado, "La Punta"... damn fine blend and who can argue with a habano oscuro wrapper?
I love smoking cigars and it's nice to see the people that make them. Hard to believe these people were almost put out of a job by the American Socialists who wanted to put a $10 tax per cigar.
I've been doing this for several months now. I can tell you that after watching this video, I now enjoy my cigars more, having known how they evolved.
Awesome video!. It's always good to see a great video (and 11 minutes long too!) of all the hard work that goes into making cigars. I'm gonna check out his cigars online now and buy up a few.

Pepin is making the best cigars right now. I believe they are right up there with some CC's.
The Don Pepin black label Robusto is a fantastic complex smoke.
The Padilla Miami lancero which Pepin makes for the Padilla company is right up there also as one of the top non Cubans.
