In Memoriam Juanita Brooks: Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen

I met the Wonderful Miss Brooks on the QE2 in 1995, while I was playing piano and singing an afternoon set. I was doing 'God Bless the Child' and she said," could I sing with you" Well of course, and we started singing...the room filled up, as her talent could fill a room like no other...She gave me one of her tapes, and I played it until it wore out. I know she is in a good place, because more importantly than her huge talent, and wonderful voice, she was a kind, generous person.
