Unlike the old Laos where Laotians constantly call us Hmong, "meo meo", the new Laos welcome us Hmong as one of the major ethnic of the Laotian people and have regconize us by putting our people in the new Laotian currency. Laos didn't want UN and US to monitor because of Political reason. Laos and Vang Pao are enemies, Vang Pao want UN and US to monitor to boost his influences and to send message to other laotian who don't like the Lao government that even if they raise arm against LPDR they can still get help and protection from the UN and US. So there will be more people to join in and destabelize the country. That's what I think the reason why they allow aljazeera and thailand to monitor but not U.S and U.N.

Lao government wants UN and US to monitor Vang Pao's organization closely and trace all the money transactions that his organization made, so that UN and US will label Hmong as TERRORISTS. I think that's the reason why UN and US didn't want to deal with Hmong and US even arrested Vang Pao.
