It's one of the very few games that actually challenges the player. Sadly lots of gamers see aspects of challenge as bad design because they thought it was too hard.

People need to stop rating games based on their own performance in the first hour (E.G. God Hand).

I played this game... Hmmm probably 3 or 4 times. I probably did it within one week. But that was my ones after the first playthrough. The first playthrough always takes me 10 or so hours (except for GOW 2 that game was like 4 hours)

the gun mechanics weren't bad for the game, it fits in perfectly. the game isn't centered around combat, so having weapons make your character kind of clunky is completely intentional. i think it works great, don't know what people are talking about :P

The main character is a parkour expert, not a gun slinger.

@ubbecykelkedja because dice made and are famous for the battlefield series, all of them fps's, and yeah, the protagonist is a parcour expert so i know what you mean, but it's in a modern environment where she knows she's going up against heavily armed baddies, so it just seems like bad foresight not to bring around or know how to use at least a pistol or smg. i guess that would make the game a little too easy and combat centred tho

Well... I personally LOVED the game... Before this i HATED FPSs and the reason i loved this is because it's not an FPS! It's an FPsomethingawesome. All the reviews are like... OH the gunning sucks! It's not about the gunning!!! WTF! I felt like i was in there and i believe it was one of the most original games i've played. I hope they make a sequel. I will love it too.

i think the shooting isnt good because

1, its not about shooting

2. Faith is almost always running. therefore out of breath, cant aim that well when you are out of breath

You are right, but I find the ease with whitch Faith brings down trained military squads using weapons unrealistic. I mean she is unarmed, she does not wear any armor and yet it is much easyer to just take a gun from some policeman or soldier and shoot the hell out of a bunch fully equiped guys.

P.S. I hope they will make gun fights much harder and evading easyer in ME2.

Of all the first person games I've played, this is the only one to truly feel like you ARE the character and not just a floating camera with view models attached. Although short, it was an absolute thrill to play through, and I look forward to the sequel.

I would definitely get this for a console. I absolutely loved it on the 360. It is a little short, but I think it's got a lot of replay value. The first run through will seem slightly awkward and cluncky, though still fun. On the second playthrough you really get the "flow" that's so important. Then for a challenge you can turn the runner's vision off, which basically points you in the right direction, and it becomes a lot harder. (RV turns objects towards where you want to go red)

dont get it, it's so hard and complicated you gotta actully be quite intelligent at some parts. like i got stuck on some parts for like 30 mins trying to work out how to get to the top of a builing or sumthing.
