I don't quite understand this, I've had Type 1 Diabetes since age 9 (I'm 18 now) and while I am aware the feet are at a large risk of problems, even to the point of amputation, but I don't know how well I understand why it happens. Is the best way to prevent just to take care of your feet and not get them injured or infected? I know maintaining blood sugars was one of the main points but being honest here, there are so many factors that affect blood sugar that it's never an exact science.
