brian is 44 here..yet he looks so much younger...landy cleaned him up physically...which makes sense...when your nuts but want to clean up...its way easier to change the physical...eating and drinking healthy..and exercising
the harder part is the emotional cleanup.;....much harder
so landy stressed the physical...look at brian at 34 and then here at 44...WOW...amazing transformation...
so give landy that...brian would have been dead if not for landy...
Brian was under Landy's vice grip at this point and it was a sad sorry misuse of his talent even if the solo debut was alright. Landy was just using Brian to get his own fame in music. Brian had been a mentally ill person before Landy got the right treatments for him but he also used prescription drugs to control Brian and that might've done as much damage as any recreational drugs. Brian's a survivor though. Amazing he never died during his lost days. He had suicidal feelings at times back then
Brian Wilson went through a hell of a lot while on the path to fame and success...I watched The Beach Boys movie and was shocked at how controlling and manipulative and canniving Brian's dad was...I also hadn't realized just how much drugs Brian had experimented with and done during those days, but then again, everyone was doing drugs back then, particularly people in the entertainment industry...When all is said & done though, Brian Wilson & The Beach Boys have been exceptional in their craft.
A true genius of music! Not just a really good writer or anything, Brian Wilson is a genius of music up there with the all-time greats who ever lived. He's easily one of the top 5 modern pop composers of all-time, there's no doubt. And he did most of his best stuff before he was even 30!!!! Would kill to be able to see Brian live too. Thanks for the video.
@rawkus1167 you couldnt put in any comments in the live aid videos which was a great concert they worked with bill grahme and they worked with him before at the filmore and the closing of the fillmore east concerts here brians going overboard with his adulation of phil spector again...
oh man, for me it´s the worst period of Brian... no way you can have a good word about Landy.. i dont buy that story of Landy saving Brian´s life; he obviously let him do drugs and took his money, and this was not a good shape, man!

Well it's good to know there are some GOOD interviews out there! As in, not this one. Jeeze I love to hear Wilson talk, but what is all that stuff on the table? The Charlie Rose interview is pretty good. Any others people have seen? I do love the guy.
