  • I agree that angry emotions need to be taken out of your body but if your boss is an asshole (99% of the time) or your friend is an idiot it would be better to take that red bat and shove it up their asses. How long can you tolerate their insults? Really. I'd do this when they no longer influence you, like if you've been hurt or bullied before and you can no longer go back and need to move on. Ultimately you should not ignore your anger by smashing shit instead of solving your problems.

  • I agree with trankuser. Women don't understand anger or rage the way men do, they have no idea what it's like to have a natural steroid pumped through your brain around the clock. Maybe punching a pillow helps her vent some anger, but it wouldn't help me. The pillow doesn't break, it doesn't scream, it doesn't bleed or give you any satisfaction.

  • Those strategies may work on a short-term basis, but they don't attack the problem at its source!

    A more long-term approach would be CBT or REBT or cognitive restructuring. They take more time & require a lot of patience, but they're probably worth it in the long run.

    I'm not an expert, but to me, that's common sense.

  • I would take of the red covering, replace it with steel and add spikes to the bat

  • this doesnt help. if you do this enough and feel overwhelming rage at a particular moment, you will actually be training yourself to hit things when angry. Results may be you knock out your boss or whoever. the best solution is to be able to realize you are raging, and stop. every punch you throw makes it stronger.

  • i wish we could do that in Anger Management class...looks fun! Instead of reading pamplets or "Letting our feelings out" where have the group is B.S. there way, just to get over the class.
