for good sound, not the best, i suggest getting an NT1-A with a 150.00 dollars presonus, that should really do you good already, especially if ur recording with cubebass5. And i dont really recommend any mic that is connected through usb, because its just no good :D it capture too many unwanted sound, thats wat sux about usb condensor.

@yamio86 Sonar is a great program, I have the producers edition which I think isn't much of a change from LE specially if you're just tweaking little things. It's pretty simple to use like every other music software out there, you just have to get use to the interface. And CO3U is a nice USB mic.
