Just another reason why I HATE f'ing poachers, who would wipe out every one of these magnificent creatures for some damn ivory statures for idiots to display on their coffee tables. *sigh*
They are very smart animals. They go through depression and even grieve when an elephant in the herd dies. Baby elephants who lose their parents are known to have aggression issues similar to people dealing with post-traumatic stress. It's amazing how people write animals off as just animals, but they can feel just as deeply as we do. Just because they don't talk like us doesn't mean they don't feel like us.
oh my goodness !!! poor littbe baby slipped and fell in the water... what a lovely mother, she was right there to help and pull him out. Thank you Jesus. Did you see all the other aunts were there to help ?? it takes a village...
I was scared he might break his leg for a second there. I guess the parents fear was very real, i can bet that elephants often get stuck badly in the mud in lake areas like that, cuz they are so heavy. THey cant jump in to rescue them either cuz they'd get stuck! Not to mention im sure a croc could grab the elephant if it were a river.
Fricken awsome, this shows they have feelings and are not just mindless animals ,

Aw, they were so worried! At least that's what I assume.
Elephants are hands down my favorite of any animal.
