"There's a somebody i'm longing to see.. i hope that he turn out to be...someone to watch over me" - i really got emotional when i listen to this... i can feel your heart when you played that piano... well done!!!
I know this tune from Brad Mehldau's Live in Tokyo, and I really like the way he's playing it, but I have to admit I really like the way you're playing it!
You dont happen to have wrote down the music to this beautiful creation of yours as I wold very much appriciate it if you would allow me to attempt to play this marvolous peice in the way you have ?
Well . I still have a long way to go until i can play like you . Self learn of jazz harmony is not an easy work to do >"< . When i done with harmony then i can start to learn about improvise and phrasing . Wish i can have a teacher like you :)
ussually i hate most of the self played versions of those beautiful songs, but this version actually totaly reached my heart (omg! ;) ) that i wish i could play the piano like you and think about taking lessons.....thank you very much!
"Hard" dogs -- K9s, Search and Rescue -- for some reason have an affinity for this interpretation when they're puppies (it's within their hearing range and they adore it).
They go from unruly to mellow. I played jazz and blues keyboards on the road for years; picked up your interpretation of this tune and when I play it on my concert piano, it's remarkable to watch them smooth out. Besides the dogs, I love the arrangement and it's beautifully executed, THANKS.
I'd love to use your version of the song in a short film I desperately want to see finished! It's just genius, really. Is their a way i can get in contact with you? I'm all the way down in Argentina.
It's great to listen to a great jazz artist like yourself!!! I'm a jazz vocalist and I love to hear some great instrumentals when I can. You are truly gifted :)
Great playing! How are you able to harmonize it so nicely? This may be a odd question, but is it through lessons or were you able to just naturally come up with it? Any tips on making music sound greater, like you did? :)
you know, even though I prefer grand pianos over electronic ones, sometimes electronic pianos have a certain flavor that is needed that a grand piano doesn't have. I don't know, it's hard to explain.
YES! Thanks for directing me toward this link. This is probably my favorite YouTube video. The whole thing is brilliant, and the chord at :27 just melts me.
How it must feel to have music just poor out of your soul through your fingers and into the air for all to hear. Your command of these standards is simply outstanding. Thank you.
Nice. But your sitting far too low to the keyboard to have sufficient control over your playing. Nice and relaxed - but try sitting a wee bit higher and it will be awesome man! (from a piano teacher of 35 years..)
ho visto il tuo sito ..... suoni di tutto con eccellenti risultati! Come invidio (nel senso buono) le tue mani. Me li puoi segnalare i tuoi video su youtube? Grazie.
Very pretty. Soft, delicate as a whisper. I have never heard this played with so much feeling. The importance of playing softly. Pianissimo, Andante, Legato, slowly and softly. Very beautiful. Thank you.
Such great reharmonization. So full of surprises this version is. I have so much enjoyment listening to this, it make me to begin thinking in Italiano and my English become no good. ;-) Superb playing!
So glad I happened upon this video. Hit the Amazon site and got both albums.
