  • This is an awesome Cobra. I know the current owner who lives in Dallas, Texas. He took me for a short ride out on the Dallas freeway. Accelerating beyond the speed limit a few times, the raw power of the 427 engine was amazing.

  • WOW YOU GOT TO LOVE THEM COBRAS.

  • I am looking for a specific Cobra that I almost purchased back in 1985, in Arizona. It had a heart-shaped hood scoop. Have you ever heard of a Cobra with a heart-shaped hood scoop? To my understanding, there were only 7 built. It was aluminum.

  • kirkhams r the way to if u got the cash

  • I BET DENNIS HAD A SORE NECK FOR A WEEK!

  • Does anyone know of a upload of the GT40 on my classic car?

  • dad had a 56 ford ranger with a 427 cobra engine in it, dident run though, was gonna re build it but never got to it.

  • When i will build a Cobra, i will build it much closely to the originals, but with some small personal choices, and i know no matter how good a replica cobra is, it can never be classified as a real one, neither technicly or practicly, i think the 'only' way to get a sertification of that it's a well build car, would be from Carrol himself, if not certified as a real one, manybe certified as a true tribute cobra, if the car is really well build with nos parts and builded as they were back then.

  • I know a few years back, you could get a real CSX chassis from Shelby and build it like a kit car. Of course, they were going for a little more than a factory 5. When Shelby was building the Cobras, in order to actually race SCCA, they had to sell so many to the public. Shelby falsified his records and there were some "lost" in storage until recently. If I was going to build one, it would be worth the extra cash just to have a CSX serial number on the chassis.

  • @390galaxie

You can get a 427 cobra from Shelby right now all brand new with a csx number with a fiberglass or aluminum body. Complete cars are pushing 140,000 plus.

Lots of other replica makers out there as good or better(ERA) than Shelby's new ones with out the crazy price markup. I own an ERA 427.

  • I wasn't sure they still had CSX chassis at Shelby. I knew they did.

  • Best sounding car of all time... No radio needed... just a towel.. I just jizzed in my pants

  • Beautiful!!!!!

This beauty must be worth a million no doubt!!!

    Lucky man.

  • This is the car James Dean should have choosed before anything else, if he didn't have to die in a car chrash..

  • Imagine this: Take your AC Cobra 427 sideoiler equipped witht 4 speed toploader, put on your black skinjacket, black sunglasses, form your hair to the style they had in that particular period, and all the way down route 66....mmmm...dreaming... ^^

  • i have that same car its so fucking badass u have no idea

  • That's what I'm Talking about. There's one about 3 blocks away. He's rebuilt it to perfection. Blue with white stripes the thing makes you shake when he starts 'er up.

Engine is so clean you could eat off it.

Great Video and stats to back it up.

  • Omg that sound...umm yeah, i gotta change mah pants

  • I love Caroll Shelby! Why couldn't have they make more Cobras? I'm not into autographs, but it would be so cool to have a Cobra signed by him.

  • at least he can say he owns one.

  • Right on Jimmmytt!

That car is worth over $1 million.

    That guy is lucky!

  • shut the hell up u don't have a clue what you are talking about

  • wow dude that was almost as funny as brain canser u dick ur just jelous so u fucking rip on him u bastard go get a job and get some money for

  • There is so much more to these beautiful cars. It would have been wonderful to hear this big block at a full chat. The dry sump 427 cars were easy 7200 rpm cars. Would have been nice to hear what that sounds like. But noooooooooooo.

  • If i had that car i probably wouldn't open it up all the way too often either.

  • @aleks6989 I would drive that thing as hard as I could and track it as often as possible. Thats what it was made for and thats what Caroll would want.

  • @stunnerable I dunno, If you have a 1 of 3 very rare cars I don't know how often you would be driving it as hard as you could, especially if you're wallets really deep in it. but then again if you're quite literally made of money then it doesn't matter. perhaps its what caroll wants, but if you break all 3 cars driving them hard there will be none left, don't know if caroll wants that.

  • LOVE COBRAS.....GOD BLESS SHELBY

  • didn't the passenger have a full head of hair before he drove in that monster??

  • i got this episode on dvd

  • aww
