  • Dang but I think this version kicks ASS compared to the Let It Be one...

  • This version is abit sissy compared to 1969 wich is rougher....now wich one i prefer...both xDD

  • @xtremerockomaniac Well, I guess they learned over the years…

  • Awesome. No way is the Let it Be version better than this one, not even close.

  • i think the let it be version is better

  • This is beyond amazing.

  • it is from '63 i wikipedia'ed it :)

  • ONE person sucks at life.

  • @brandstifter68 Yeah, I agree with that. They originally recorded it in '63, then forgot about it until the Let it Be sessions.

  • Ahahah Paul at 1:11!

  • No it's not the 1963 is another one, STUPID

  • @bobdylan60 um yeah the freak it is

  • i prefer this one ;)

  • This is from 1963. The Please Please Me session.

  • the last one sounds like country

  • this is ROLLIN AND RIFFIN

  • Officially brought out in 1970 on the Let It Be album, haha... Opus picks up, and NOW thank You, we find our youngsters.... but it's got a little outta hand didn't it? How did we make this mess? i don't know, but we'll figure it out through that 'familiar feeling', lassy. Levelling is a hard job, but it's an estafette, and Roísin Murphy, it ain't Murphy's Law covering it all;) 1830 CET. Funny... I don't wanna figure that one out now.

  • @lakefloor thanks friend! i have been a Beatles fan for 46 years my Granda bought me She loves you when i was 5 years old and i collect everything i can about them and i have read a great deal about them ,my sister and brother are tha same so it really is my specialised subject!!! i get so mad when i see stupid comments on beatles vids by people who dont have a clue what they are talking about!!!

  • Its from 1963 take it from me ....a long time beatles fan and i dont just say anything like most of you........

  • @TheMaccafan I hear you my friend! I was around during the Fab era and I've had to exercise patients with a lot of these "off the top of their heads" remarks from know it alls who were born long after the fact. '63 is definately correct.

  • @TheMaccafan LUCKY i wish i was in the beatles era -.-

  • This is such a cool song--real rock 'n' roll. I like both versions equally, for different reasons.

  • Why are people being cold as ice? i think both versions are good.

  • I think this a recording might be from the get back sessions when they decided to revive it. Judging from John's voice that is.

  • THE OTHER VERSION ITS BETTER( ON THE ROOFTOP),,

  • As far as i know they played this in hamburg...so its one they hung on to.

this version is a splice from cocked up rehearsals...or so the anthology bumpf claims...george martin really could polish a turd!

  • who sing that song?

  • @wischkaun The Beatles...

    .

  • This might be the 1964 version ..but this recording was made in 69 at the Let IT Be sessions.

  • @biskitlee

i think your right. you can tell they sound a bit different

  • both versions are great

  • You've Got To Hide Your Love Away

  • prefiero la version de let it be

  • I like 1963 it's got more of a groove to it than the 1969 version.

  • Sooo cool. You can just hear the genius in the making.

  • march 5th 1963

if my memory serves me well

  • WHOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!

  • It's good sounds like their reading from a lyric sheet in this version, the rooftop is raw, fun, full of Beatles personality and pure rock n roll.

  • hermoso realmente

  • I like the Let It Be version better. Don't get me wrong I loooooooove this version. I just love how frantic the other is.

  • @kingdancekiller I completely agree. The let it be version would be in my top 50. This, never.

  • i like this version way better than the let it be version!!!

  • Right on!

  • It was written in the end of the 50s, actually

  • Comment removed

  • Dang, thanks Linda

  • Esta es la mejor versión.....

  • es que el estilo crudo de la primera epoca de los beatles es muy autentico

  • i like both versions of this song. Was this a bonus from "A Hard Day's Night" album?

  • they performed this at the cavern back in 1963.

  • how come they didn't release it from before & in 1970?

  • This one sounds great! but i prefer the let it be version!

  • I think I like this one better. But either way just a great old rock tune!

  • I like this earlier, simpler version, but the Let It Be live rendition has tons more energy and musical skill IMO.

  • i like this version better than the other one, :]

  • word

  • Aww Paul is so ADORABLE!!!

    <3 2 Paul

  • OH MY LORDY!

  • it's 9 09 09 dudes! love those beatles guys!

  • Yeah!Yeah!Yeah!

    Great song!

    Love the Beatles!!<3

  • thank you chuck berry for giving so many young english lads how to make that rythum guitar beat sound so fuking cool. ese!

  • ok i thought it was just me but i love this version way more than the let it be one. it sounds more beatle-like. i dont see whats so bad bout it. the begininning for this one sounds better than the let it be one also

  • Very Unique--nice...Thanks

  • OK, I have to say this, I find this version kicks ass on the Let it be version. I don't understand why this version (or rather the one on the Anthology) was never released...

It is a PERFECT representation of what early Beatles were all about! GREAT Harmonies, raspy vocals by John, and overall great feel to the song.

The magic of the early Beatles is all here!

    check out our version...

    Thank you Jason!

  • haha gotta love paul at 1:12 :)

i like this more than let it be verision, thanks for posting!

  • very johnny b. goode-ish

  • I like this version better than the one they included on the Let it be album.

  • Something about this version really makes me want to dance!

    thanks again, tomyboquita

  • Exactly, finally someone realized that the GROOVE factor of this version is so much better than the subsequent versions!

  • thats much better than the version on let it be

  • tight

    thanks for posting!

  • It's kind of cool, one of the first songs they recorded didn't make it on to the first album but went onto the last one released.
