Beautiful photos! Such a gorgeous piece of history. I love the fact that King George VI turned a bit of tragic evidence from WWI(bomb crater), and turned it into a duck pond. Absolutely lovely.
ALSO: It was so British, I think, not to try to cover over the bomb crater with dirt (which wold have been like trying to hide it) but to, instead, leave the hole in the ground and let it fill with water to make a duck pond, i.e., something even more beatiful than what was there before!
