i went to the sa francisco missions before and the church creeped me and my friends out the music was like we were in a funeral but the graveyard was big me and my friends say this 6 days old baby toonstone the missions was called "MISSION DELORIS"
This video was put together by a third grader who wanted to know about how the mission system affected the lives of the Ohlone. Sitting in the library doing the research, the two of us were quite dismayed. I'm not sure I would have considered this material appropriate for an 8 year-old's school report, but I didn't realize that he was actually researching the demise of a vibrant culture until we were well into it. The other children made medicine pouches and village scenes.
This is a very good report, but note, some Ohlone people managed to escape the mission system. We are still here and continue to live throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
