Hint on choppers...when u get close to it...dont guide the missle to meet in the air. Guide it with the chopper and when u get close, click on the chopper. Otherwise your missle "camera" will appear as if u go right through it.

Well guys, ive been in to tweaking of hitboxes in BF2. Normally hitboxes are tweaked to 100 in ping. Therefore u can tweak/change that value to ur avarage ping at get better hitboxes. google it. (Though this was 1.41)

it plays alot better for me with a 20ping, but from large distances it seems to be luck to get a hit on someone, where like in other games you would have headshotted them. sometimes you will get that lucky 1bullet headshot but its not easy due to the random deviation of bullets sending them no where near your crosshair!

anyway get a decent net connection......

Ping should not affect hit detection due to compensation.

I used to play many first person shooters at 350 ping on dial up and never had hit detection issues my shots were very delayed but not hit detection issues.

BF2 is an unoptimized pos bugged in almost every way.

This bug happens whether you are 10 ping or 150 ping.

And ea doesn't care because they have your money.

battlefield is a game where the engagements are mostly at 50 fts and more, with lots of people fighting against each other. its not COD... its BF, the hitboxes are small for a REASON. the game is just too damn big for people to pump shells and get lucky shots all the time.

The guns have a maxinum reliable distance of 30 feet.

Long range involves two guys going prone ,firing at each other on single shot and the one winning depends entirely on who got the lucky random deviation dice roll.

if you watch your tv missles your not clicking to move the missle its free flying to smoothly your just hovering the mouse and the hot key clicks for u. your using the hotkey for gunning, its not illegal to use but it is noticeable its a good vid though

I played v1.5 last night and loved it! It installed fast and I updated PB right after the installation and after changing my video settings I was playing online and having a blast. I also like the new feature in v1.5 that allows you to play the game without the DVD disk! Of course, as far as hitbox goes, yea, a would give it a "B", because it can be outrageous to emty the whole clip into an enemy at point blank range and miss. :S Anyways, I consider this game classic, but enjoyable to play.
