There was never an Arab state called "Palestine", which the Jews could have stolen. Israel was created exactly like Lebanon, Jordanian, Syria and Iraq from the remnants of the Osmanien Empire. There was never an Arab state called "Palestine", which the Jews could have stolen. Israel was created exactly like Lebanon, Jordanian, Syria and Iraq from the remnants of the Osmanien Empire. Jews live there for 3700 years and the creation in 1947 into a Jewish and an Arab state answered the Palestinians and Arabs 1948 with war. Jordanian is the actual Palestinian state with 70% Palestinians.

Palestine has never been the name of a nation or state. It is a geographical term, used to designate the region at those times in history when there is no nation or state there. In fact, during the Israel War of Independence the Palestinians had rejected having their own state. Rather they chose to join (Israeli Arabs were never expelled) the armies of Jordan and Egypt which promised them more land in their victory. But the Arabs lost all wars until today, thanks god.

Israel is a world leader in technology. Why has such a tiny country been such an amazing leader in innovation? I imagine that it probably has to do with their traditions and cultural values, particularly a tremendous respect for education, and a tradition of freedom of intellectual inquiry. (One indication of the "real world" effect of having these values: while Jews apparently make up less than 0.2% of the world's population, they constitute 22% of Nobel Prize laureates).

Egypt didn't receive the Sinai back as part of their war effort, at the top of their offensive they were only a few km from the canal, not even close to retaking the Sinai and it wasn't even part of their plan. Israel however by the end of the war, was a 100km from Cairo. Egypt got the Sinai back because of the peace treaty Sadat has signed with Israel, not because of their war effort. Sadat could have offered the peace treaty, while avoiding a war altogether and still get Sinai back.

How exactly Egypt did won the war? Egypt got thrashed and begged for mercy. How did Egypt show the world it can take on Israel, when it simply lost badly? Israel had taken 1000's of prisoners and where marching on Cairo how Egypt could have won? The peace deal came many years after the war and had virtually nothing to do with it. when u talk about the cease fire it was of course due to the fact that Egypt was then fighting the USA not Israeli forces which where killed in the first days of fighting and the remaining army was taking a vacation of yum kappor and they where going to need days to regroup and get shipped to the battlefield.
about defeating the 3rd army and crossing to the west bank of the canal..it was a strategic error from the Egyptians,but the forces which were there were also surrounded

I hope you heard about Camp David? The winner had to wait for nine years to get the land back. A winner? Israel gave Sinai back to Egypt after Camp David agreements (that Sadat paid with his life some years after). The Egyptian 3rd division was entrapped into a "cul de sac" in Sinai then Sadat praised USA diplomacy to stop Israel. Where's that Egyptian victory? I was forgetting one of conditions to sign the Camp David agreement was to make Egyptian people believe they had won 1973 war.

If you consider having your 3rd army encircled and running towards the UN for food and water after the cease fire thats great. I understand Egyptians have the whole honor complex; they need to find victory in something. Yet I think Egypt is the only country in the world who would regard such a result a victory, even the surrounding Arab countries don't see it as such. The IDF was marching on Cairo, some 60 km away from the capital of Egypt and somehow they are viewed as losing the war.

Egypt send 400.000, Iraq 400.000 Jordan 60.000 and Syria 350.000 men all together 5 times more than Israel only 200.000 men.
