We don't have any construction videos per se, but there are many building "tips" videos available on our web site, which are hosted by EAA. Just go to "Video Tips" in the "Support" section of our web site.
I can't say for certain, but the "cross-hair" you're referring too looks very much like the wing-tip sights used by aerobatic competition pilots (Sharpie version ;-). It would be useful for formation flight as well.
The Xenos is also aerobatic, approved for +6 and -3 G when flown single pilot. We offer optional aerobatic wing tips for the Xenos if you're going to get more ambitious than simple loops and rolls. It's not a competition aerobatic glider as the rates are low, but it's a great machine for simple, fun glider aerobatics. All of our aircraft wing and tail structure designs have been destructive load tested per FAR part 23 standards and all have passed in excess of design ultimate.
Awesome video, I never knew the Sonex was so capable. Have you ever done aerobatics in the Xenos ? Do you think that would really handle the G's of doing loops and rolls ?
holy hell, i want one.

What's the black "cross-hair" thing in the window, on the pilot's left side? It's got 8 lines coming from a point. Is it for aerobatics?
