I agree the M1 is the best tank deployed. I was on the development team for the turbine engine and some of it's initial devlopment and RAM-D testing. Not sure that the Stryker and the M1 are in the same category. When we were testing the M1 we would get upset when the Army complained about a slight smoke plume at start when you could always tell where a Bradley was by it's big diesel exhaust plume.20/20 tried to do a hatchett job on the M1 regarding filters, do you remember?
Honestly - there was no point in building the Stryker. The LAV Work's well as a wheeled Vehicle ( with "V" bottom to help with IED ) and the Gavin although a little slower is a good Tracked equivalent. Ah well Im pretty Sure US.Marines still use LAV and i know Australia Still use a Modded LAV 25 "ASLAV" ( bigger tires , Air-con and updated firing systems )
Good luck US.army. seems like you got a fail Truck to work with.
i know all about tanks, i have studied tanks and by far the M1A2 is the best on earth, far better than the type 95, only the german leopoad can compare to the M1, anyone who says otherwisw knows absolutley nothing about tank warfare, believe me, this is what i do
I realize there's not much space here but I hope you have FACTS to back up your reasoning. Its not enough to just make an argument-by-assertion, so even though I'm on your side, always be ready to show your arrived at your opinions by due diligence. Thanks for commenting!
I know all about people, I have studied people and by far you are not a person. Only George Bush could relate to your inhumanity. Anyone who says otherwise knows absolutley nothing about people, believe me, this is what I do.
And to video poster: Good video. I still like the Stryker, but just like everything it's having a rough start. The bradley was a piece of shit, but now it's one of the best. So hopefully the Stryker will get past these difficulties.
Bradley is still screwed up. It can be fixed but it will only be an open-terrain infantry-carrying tank. In contrast, Stryker cannot be fixed as its intrinsically UNSOUND because its WHEELED. Details:
@BillMCMAP226 there is no best MBT, there are a few selections once you get to the top few but it's like choosing a Nikon or Canon camera, all of them have their pros and cons.
Additionally, the definition of "best" also extends to how combat effective you can be. You may be the toughest and fastest tank around but if you're unreliable or can't be produced in enough numbers to make a difference you aren't going to win the war. In the strategic sense, that isn't a very good tank.
Bradleys are crappy in cities. Plus you can really say they dont get stuck cuz if you've been with them you know how often the track gets all jacked up. Now if you left your abrams for a stryker mgs im sorry. Other then the fact that the stryker doesnt guzzel gas, it cant compete with the ur A1. But hey you should of thought of that before you became a tanker. Besides you wont even get your mgs until you get to iraq.
the british are the same we use jeeps instead of more armored trucks i meen if it saves moneywe will use it these jeeps were ment for ireland not iraq.
umnnn okay.....this video is like not wanting me to go to Ft. Lewis now :T......fuckinggg stryker 's sucks...it should only be use by pogs. and Mp's..lol i cant believe im leaving my M1 for this piece of crap....al blowned up.....
i believe that the stryker should be kept in army service but used mainly for military police and Urban patrols, the Bradley should be used for everything else
Bradleys are too heavy to fly by aircraft and move through closed terrain, we need up-armored, high-technology light M113A4 Gavin tracks, all Stryker trucks should be passed down to MPs
Page 77 of Hunnicutt's book "Bradley: a History of American Fighting and Support Vehicles" shows the post-Korean war U.S. Army considered wheeled tin cans to motorize troops along with cross-country-mobile tracks. The "revolutionary", "new" road-bound wheels were rejected and M113 Gavin tracks were built; 57 years of combat success has followed ever since. Those that say LAV3/Strykers are "newer" are incompetent ignorants of armored vehicle history or willing liars.

Stryker!
Now only averaging one death per knocked out vehicle in Afghanistan.
Must be acceptable, because the Guv just ordered thousands more of these floaters.
Ultimate Commuting Personel Carrier.
Stryker to boldly travel where you expect us to be!
Would it be a highway of death if you didn't travel on the road most of the time? Yeah sure sometimes you have to commute.
Why do you have to be in a hurry if you're the baddest ass in the valley?
Your enemies will flee, not you.

M1 ain't all bad,and the army does what they can while being all but hog-tied by the politicians.
I don't really see what's so much better about the t-95,but I'm not an expert.

Are you saving money if you have to bury dead and care for wounded men for the rest of their lives? Ever hear of "penny-wise, pound foolish?"

"What's it really like to be in a Stryker LAVtruck?"
Well, to find out for sure, you'd have to get a Ford Pinto, fill it's fuel tank to the brim, and drive it as fast as you can into a ditch...

In fact, the "New" LAV3Stryker wheeled infantry wagon dates back to 1954: a competent U.S. Army rejected it 53 years ago!
