They do, and yes they are in Afghanistan right now. Canada will have 50 police mentors in Kandahar by the end of this summer, Elliott said at the end of a brief visit to the provincial capital in which he was taken to a Canadian-funded police sub-station and a Canadian-run police training facility in Kandahar, where more than 2,500 Canadian soldiers are now deployed.
