Thrash was the NWOBHM mixed with hardcore influences, the same way NWOBHM was the blues-metal sound of Sabbath, etc mixed with the Ramones/Sex Pistols/etc style of playing.

This singer's voice is annoying. I think it might just be this song, because its not like he's a bad singer, he's just too over-blown for a Dead Boys cover. (that's why Dio doesn't cover the Stooges, boys)
