  • que coche mas bonito me encanta que pena que solo se vean en america

  • the thing is like a lead sled tho

  • Then it should save them from the impending Nuclear fallout :D

  • I love the '87-'91 Jeep Grand Wagoneers, I'd love to own one. Glad to see your keeping it alive. Theres actually companies that specialize it selling completely restored last gen Grand Wags. I saw pics they look like new cars! (and cost about as much as a loaded brand new Grand Cherokee!)

  • Nice jeep, what kind of gas mileage does it get?

  • Well, she hasn't been on the road for three years, but the last trip I had her on she was getting about 13 MPG. Of course, that was towing a car behind with a worn-out engine... and that's when the engine blew as well. I used to drive mostly on the highway, and seem to remember getting around 15 MPG. These Jeeps don't really get much more than that, though lol. My '79 J10 gets around 16.

  • is that the 5.9 liter?

  • 29.40 mpg with a tractor diesel engine (we have one but it's been in a shed for 20 years).

  • gorgeous truck!

  • Thanks! She isn't all she seems though. Been sitting for two years, and the body's in pretty rough shape. Taking it one step at a time, though. Engine's in, and the brakes and drivetrain are getting repaired now, then onto the bodywork.

  • really? from where it sits it looks extremely nice

  • There was a good deal of rust on her when I bought her 6 years ago. Mostly around the windows and door edges. The previous owner had it repainted right before it was sold, and the rust was painted over... The repaint is peeling in a number of places, and the rust is coming through in others. The paint is shiny, but there's still a lot of rust, and a few holes... Quarter panels are pretty much gone, and there's a hole near the bottom of the windshield...

  • wow, i never would have thought. Are you going to be replacing them or bondo'ing it up?

  • I'll be replacing what I can, and rebuilding from scratch what needs to be (such as around the window frames). Going to be a lot of work, but I think it's worth it.

  • what's the interior like?

  • The interior's decent... The seats are in good shape. She has the overhead console, but the headliner's gone. I'm going to be replacing the dash with an older style dash ('79 - '84 style) and rewiring everything, since there is a lot of electrical issues with the current rocker style switches. I'll post some better pics in a few weeks on my photobucket site of the body and the interior.

  • will you be posting a before/after video when it's finished?

  • Yep. Next video will be when the drivetrain work is finished. I'll be posting update vids while I'm doing the work as well.
