  • Type IV motors are cool too and easier to achieve very large displacements, but if something like 2200 to 2300 cc is all the bigger you want to go that a type I motor is fine and much cheaper.

I've never had the car on a dyno so I'm not really sure of hp/torque. Decide on how you're going to drive it and that will dictate heads/cam combo. I have 2 cars in the garage right now - one w/K8 & 48IDAs, and this one w/FK44& 45Dells. Two different beasts entirely.

    Car is 9.1 CR.

    Good luck.

  • My next project I'm working on is a '74 Super Beetle and I am just now working out the details of drivetrain.

I was at first thinking along the lines of a 914 motor in the back, and am still contemplating such, but after seeing this motor I could save a lot of money, keep the Beetle all VW, and still make respectable hp... which brings me to my question, what are the figures on this motor? hp/torque and is this a 9:1 car or 8.6:1?

  • where and how do i get one of those motors

  • Hey Nice motor but you got a typo. An 82x94 motor is a 2276. An 84 stroke is a 2332.

  • @jesuschrysler23

Thanks for catching my error. That's been posted awhile. It is an 84x94. I fixed it.

  • i like it

  • How much horsepower are you making with the 2332
