Is there a reason white girls are the most common thinspos, not just white but asian. Is there something in the culture that asks for woman to be so thin? I know in some asian families girls are told by parents to be thin, not all but still. I mean girls you should be happy with your body. I think thinspos are fun and all. Why does everyone think we want to be thin for SOCIETY'S sake? We want to be thin for OUR sake. It is so much more than wanting to be popular, buy cute clothes, or attract boys. It is so much more than that, and those who are naturally thin know nothing of the hardships of being overweight. You reach an incredible depression, you lose the interest for things you used to love, you never want to be seen in public, and almost all aspects of life are ripped from you because you want to be invisible.

@iheartanarmyboy depends on how you look at it. losing wieght because your overwieght is one thing...starving yourself is another....sadly very few people know the boundaries. my grandparents think if you don't have a layer of blubber on you that your tooo skinny, yet some people think if your not always hungry and sickly your too fat... go figure, having a bmi at 19 should be acceptable though

Do people even realize that the obsession with being thin is a relatively new thing? Back in the day, and still in many countries, the bigger you are the better. Men would desire a plump or curvy woman because it was physical proof that they could be kept fed. And you know what? These thin chicks... a lot of them, forgive me, look like men. No curves, nothing. It'd be like being with a child.
Starving yourself won't guarantee that you will look like these girls. I've noticed that most "pro-ana" chicks are overcompensating their face by trying to make their body "perfect". You may lose that 20 pounds, but you will probably look sickly and unnatural. Those skinny girls were born to be that way, and forced starvation won't make you pretty like them. You ever seen Pear-chan? look her up sometime. She has a the perfect face and is fat :)
