  • Hey y esos colores???? lo jugaste en emulador??? ni siquiera en un gba SP salen esos colores tan bien definidos

Hey and these colors??? play in an emulator???? even the gba sp took these colors

  • i have this for the normal gameboy.

  • His idle animation is impatient

  • why is the battle in a cave? WHERES CHAOS CASTLE??!!

  • what are these watches??

  • These games are better than those DKC ports for the GBA. They all suck big monkeys dicks.

  • I thought I had finished the game. But when I realized I had to find every DK coin… Fuck that, I’ll never finish this game. Thx to show me the end.

  • rofl whats wrong with kiddy kong?! is he on drugs or why does he always looks in the camera :D

  • I can't go to K. Rool's Last Stand! According to my file, I have 88 Bonus Coins, 58 DK Coins and 06 watches, and it says I'm at 91%. Yes, it is the real cartridge (I've had it since I was about 7 years old, and I'm 20 now). Why can't I fight him?!

  • @NintendoArielle How do you have 88 Bonus Coins and 58 DK Coins? There are only 78 Bonus Coins (one of which is from beating K. Rool) and 42 DK Coins. It sounds like your game is glitched or something...

  • @Blaziken257 Sometimes the graphics get a little wonky, so maybe the cartridge is glitched. My theory is that the game let me collect some coins more than once for some reason.

  • i have DKL2 and DKL3!

  • I love wen rare pushes consoles to their limits

  • werent there games called donkey kong country and games called donkey kong land both for the gbc

  • wow. the boss is so much easier in this version >.>

i wish i had played this one first for a warm up.

  • God... this takes me back...

  • Err.. What console is this on? Looks way different than the SNES version.

  • @Fgsfds1995 its for the old school gameboy.

  • lol the baby looks like stempy from ren and stempy when it has the barrel in it's mouth.

  • Definitely looks much easier than the final bosses in the SNES version. And correctly so since you're playing on a small screen and most likely black and white.

  • despites this version is in color, the colors are to overbrichted, not allway,s correct manny licht effects are missing and everythings looks flat.

  • ooohhhhhhh... it's japanese... i get it

  • @littledude12333 Yeah, Japan got it in colour because the game came out later. Why they didn't re-release it in the rest of the world I don't know, especially since Wario Land II also came out as a black and white Game Boy game originally, before getting remade as a Game Boy Color game and re-released worldwide.

  • HEY! since when has baron k. roolenstein thrown bombs? AND ALSO...

when is he gonna get that tic out of his eye?!

...sorry if i got anyone grossed out...

  • He doesn't have a tick in his eyes, he has a tic though. They are two different things. One is a bug and one is an involuntary twitch.

  • QUESTION:

Does Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong actually physically or visually appear in this game?

  • ANSWER:

    No.

  • K.Roolenstein is way more of the offensive type on the Game Boy games than on the Super Nes, yet fighting him is way less tactic

  • I'm assuming this is the NES Mirror Version, as the SNES Graphics and Sound Effects Are Not So Primative...

  • Nah, it's actually a Game Boy game. All DKC games had a Game Boy version. But were called Donkey Kong Land. Honestly, sometimes I think the Gameboy versions had better music than some of the GBA remake music. =P Not always though...

  • where do you get the watches?

  • Sheepy Shop Card Games

  • Onions?

  • that is what happened to me but on dkl 2

  • Thanks for posting. I never got this far on my original GB game because every time I would unlock the lost world, the next time I would turn on my gameboy, all the data would be erased. But now that I know about VBA, I can beat it!

BTW, I just posted my "remix" of the cloud song from DKL 1. The sound is crap (sounds unmixed on here), and everything is essentially mono now, but it still sounds pretty good. Check it out!

  • VBA is horrible. GB gameplay is so much better. Shame about the erasing tho.

  • Yeah, the authenticity of real GB is much more desirable than VBA, but I'm still happy with VBA, as I'm sure it will outlive my GB Gamepak.

Plus, you can record wav off of VBA; I've done several game rips this way (sure, the sound is a little better on regular gameboy, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice in order to get the full song recorded onto my hard-drive -- that's weird coming from me, as I'm a music major!! XD)

  • i remember a while back i put my land 3 in my game boy it was messed up put i got to play krool here

  • Donkey Kong Land III was the best Game Boy game ever to come along! It is so much better than 2 and WAY better than 1 and IMHO every game sucks compared to DKL III! Yes I love Zelda and Killer Instinct and James Bond 007 and stuff but NONE can compare to DKL III!

  • i like this version however the colors are to overbrichted BUT when i use the true gbc/gba color mode then the colors looks great and not overbrichted.

also dkc for the gbc looks thisway great!!!!!

  • I didntthink it was on color cuz the series started on the old game boy

  • Um... this is a Game Boy Color, not a NES.

  • is there any way of getting this rom in english?

  • @Blaziken257 The GBC is technically the same quality as the NES, the GBA the same as the SNES and the DS the same as the N64. (However, I doubt that the 3DS will be as good as the Game Cube.)

That way, it would have been possible to make a NES version of DKL3, but Nintendo was smart not to do that. Who would have bought a NES game when the N64 just came out? ^^°

  • @Blaziken257 y no Super game boy??? Might fix some color problems, it has SGB support after all

  • Good video.

  • I don't like Kiddy's waiting animation here! At least Dixie's blinking, but Kiddy's doing his animation when he wins a bonus!!!

  • Yeah, Rare ruined it... :\

Rare simplified a lot of animations for the Kongs.

  • How did Rare ruin it?

Kiddy is more fluid than Dixie when left standing.

People expect to much of the Donkey Kong Land series. They expect it to be as much alike to DK Country games as possible!

  • @Blaziken257 This is for the gameboy...And for this, its pretty AMAZING imo.^^

  • @Blaziken257 Is it just me, or does this 'Kiddy Kong' look sorta...'special'. ^^;;

I prefer the 2nd game compared to this. I don't know, guess I just like Diddy Kong.

  • So what? He has more animation than Dixie's simple blinking.

It doesn't HAVE to be identical to DK Country 3, it's NOT a port of it!

  • Don't be mad, it's just my opinion :S

I know it's not a port of it, it even has different level names and everything, but he is like celebrating, not standing.

Rareware could at least make him sit and move his head to both ways, even without him playing with his clothes, or at least make him stand, it would be fine, but he's actually celebrating, not standing or waiting.

  • Anyway, it had much to be the cartridge free space, they couldn't make more sprites and used those. And the game is finally released, we can't do anything about it :S

  • Sorry if I came across as mad.

It's only because I get so much trash-talking from people toward the Donkey Kong Land games. It is an independent spin-off, not a cheap port!

Still, what you say is indeed true.

And we could all learn something from Kiddy and celebrate more often!

Good to see he is so upbeat in this game! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • Hahaha, yeah, lol, at that!!!

I like the Donkey Kong Land games, too bad there's people that think that of those games.

    Don't worry ;)

  • you never heard of club penguin it rules you should gpo to it

  • thank you very very much for uploading the japanese version cuzz i was allway,s wonder how the japanse version would look like and according to my knowledge duo to the grayscale and the limited colrs when playing the uk,us version on the gbc or sgb the colors in the jap version looks exactly as what i dit imagened!and it comes very close to the snes version. amezing!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, this version does look better. Heck, it looks better than the DKC games for GBA.

  • DKL3 in color????????????????????

  • Yes, there is a color version of DKL3, but it was only released in Japan.

  • The Donkey Kong 64 fight against King K.Rool is much more amusing to watch! I can't believe Rareware made K.Rool wear those silly disguises in the series. The Kongs still beat that croc though.

  • still not there

  • dude i thought you fought him in the sewers?

  • You fight him twice. The same is true for DKC2, DKL2, and DKC3.

  • oh ok

  • hey i think i know u on club penguin is your name blaziken cause if so im tri guy

  • Club... penguin? Never heard of it. The Blaziken thing must be a coincidence.
