  • Into the Pandemonium... like Metallica? Hmm..... have you ever heard it?

  • Celtic Frost tem material, mas esse baixista parece um tonto com essa cara pintada

  • only you are deaf!

    Is there life beyond death?

You've entreated death. The answer will come.

Debris of faith. Even you are false.

  • wow

  • I would just like to point out that I'd like to fuck everyone who tries to kill METAL MUSIC.

  • hey guys remember dance macabe

  • This is more like it! Pure heavy Celtic Frost! Excellent.

  • This was such an awesome gig! Great night!!

  • Saw them at Qstock open air 2007 or 2008. Don't remember which. Went to see them out of curiosity just before I was supposed to be heading out, but the dark melodies and pressing atmosphere sort of just hypnotized me right in that spot and I had to watch the whole damn thing. Gonna see Triptykon next month \,,/

  • Man what a mess. These guys can't even play. This is a disgrace.

  • @paul44miles

I don't get that. They use a crude, raw sound and admittably the song isn't exactly the most technical metal song ever written, but the guys obviously can play.

  • @paul44miles THEN GTFO!!HOMO.....

  • this is awesome stuff really of one of the greatest song ever :-))

  • What guitar is Tom using???

  • @VinterLuft I think it's a B.C Rich Mockingbird. I can be wrong too.

  • @TheFiendishFive It is an Ibanez Iceman.. to make it even better it is a limited edition Hr Gieger model.

  • great recording..one of my favorit songs...the original title was "Buried and Forgotten" from the early "Hellhammer" !

  • Saw them in 2006 Tuska Open Air in Finland !

  • FUCK I WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN THIS ATLEAST ONE TIME! . . . ill get to see triptykon sometime tho . . .but still, ill never get to see frost

  • Celtic frost and Venom,my top 2 picks for originals.

  • that´s fantastic. .... rotten sound like 1986 and old school pictures....thanks a lot man !!!

    Uuhhh....

  • slow and heavy, the way i like it!!!!

  • Celtic Frost is fricking fantastic.

  • "Deny Life....

    Addicted To DEATH"

One of my favorite songs off that record.

  • they cant keep together . . . split continue split etc.

  • T.Warrior----------The Doomfather. Sounds like he must play this a full step below original now, I like it!

And Celtic Frost were never anywhere near what is now called "goth". More like Visigoth if anything.....although they did have a brief lame sleaze glam period with some horrible lead guitarist. Monotheist was a return to FULL brutality and again with the very weird passages, just what I expect from a Celtic Frost album!!

  • ones doom metal's fathers

  • And they helped out with death and black, too.

  • how are they fathers of doom? i never thought of CF to be doom. don't get me wrong im a big CF fan i just never saw them as doom. besides Pentagram started doom metal

  • black sabbath was playing a kind of early stoner doom back in 1969

  • true, pentagram just came to mind first.

  • Cuz the other 14 Gods were just practice.

  • das gefällt mir auch . . .

  • damn they are still amazing

  • classic band !!!!!! i saw them on this tour with kreator in Glasgow...it was an awesome night...shame they have split again tho

  • Tom got HUGE over the years. Awsome band

  • wow chewbacca playing guitar :B

  • what i would have gived to have been there I missed seeing them just barely in 1985 because our ride didnt show for the concert and i was crushed. regretted it ever since

  • Man they rule! They're tuned so low, I can't believe it, hahahaha

  • One of the best band in the world.

  • buried and forgotten is way better.

  • Love the band. but bad live recording of a majestic song.

  • "Only Theatre of Pain" is one of my favorite records

  • I see what you're saying but when you said there was "nothing goth about them" that just isn't so. Some songs off of Into The Pandemonium and Monotheist are far more goth sounding than metal. I guess Celtic Frost is much cooler to me than any of those genre labels because they have the elements of many different styles but never let themselves be pigeon holed by any particular style. I don't care much for Cold Lake but I respect Tom for having the balls to do it

  • Any style of music can have everything to do with any other style if the artist in question is creative enough & intelligent enough to make it happen. You obviously don't know anything about Celtic Frost . Tom & Martin told me when I met them how big of an influence Goth was & is to them. It doesn't take a genus to connect the dots

  • He can't growl or what?

    What's going on?

  • guitars sound downtuned... he once said in an interview that they didn't downtune on their early classics... But the monotheist stuff was downtuned; and this is monotheist-tour footage

  • major props to dtaus posting this....AWESOME!

  • Great!!!

  • bought this record in 88/89 ,went to my girlfriends house with record in bag.her mum asked to see wot i bought, she nearly had a fucking heartattack.makes me smile even now.

  • RAWK!

  • I like Tom's look, black eyes and all.

    it suits him.

they are truly the best of their genre.

even in the old 80's clips where they look silly with the spikes and everything they are still cool because of the intensity of their music and overall style.

    shame they broke up.

  • i dont know what your talking about he looks like some lame mall goth dork now. They looked much cooler in the 80's. Since when was wearing spikes in metal silly?

  • Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus & Christian Death were and still are very big influences on Tom and Martin. You could hear that in the "tragic" vocal style on "Into The Pandemonium" & they have always wore eye make up. Differing opinions I guess but I think you're not seeing the bigger picture with what they were doing. I agree with you that "Into The Pandemonium" is better than "Monotheist" but "Ain Elohim" & "Os Abysmi Vel Daath" are two of their most powerful songs since "To Mega Therion".

  • since Nifelheim came, HxcJohn8189. ;p

  • Anyone making fun of the way Tom looks needs to grow up & quit being so shallow. Aside from being immature it's also an insult to what ultimately matters here which just so happens to be the music. Celtic Frost has always been different & unique with not only their music but their image as well. They were always experimenting & even though I don't care for their "glam period", I respect them for all that they've done. They never became cliche like so many metal bands do.

  • Id take the glam years over the newer goth years. Fact is they haven't been good since Into the Pandemonium. They should have quit after that album Monotheist was a joke such a lame wannabe attempt at black metal. I like when they dont try they put out some of the best black metal ever but when they make an actual black metal album it totally sucks.

  • I love Monotheist myself and I don't think they were trying to make a "Black Metal" album either. They've just been Celtic Frost from day one and were experimenting all the while. They had the "goth" thing going on during the 1st three records as well so I don't get the negative "goth" connotation either. Furthermore, who really cares how they dress anyways? I wouldn't have cared when they went glam w/ Cold Lake if the record was still powerful and heavy the way Frost should be.

  • they always have looked silly...that's their thing

  • Celtic Frost rulez !

  • An excellent performance of one of their best songs, but I do wish Tom G. would lose the hat. It just doesn't fit. Short hair, long hair, bald, who cares, I don't like the hat. Only complaint. The silly hat. Hat. Drives me crazy.

  • i dig toms new look! like a prisoner executed and back from the grave or a thug zombie who just crawled out of a dumpster

  • They should have played Cherry Orchards on their final tour all down tuned and doomed out

  • I saw them at Fenders in long Beach back in the day, they did shred the place.

  • i don't understand why they think the lead singer needs to make himself look like a fucking douchebag in that outfit. looks like a marylin manson loving methhead. just fat.

  • Can't understand why the feel the need to downtune so freakin' low. This song was heavy enough back in the day without dropping the tunning to the floor.

  • Was this when they were opening for Type O Negative? I saw them in Denver around this time last year. It was so awesome live!

  • Why oh why has Tom left the band?

  • to start a new one called trypticon with reed st.mark

  • Oh why did they have to change their style.. :(

  • Celtic Frost kick ass - just discovered them 3 weeks ago!!

  • I found them today and I dig them

  • Is that Martin on the left?

  • Yes, when I saw them in Worcester, he was wearing a huge monk robe, and had long beard!

  • Necromantical Screeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaams!!!!

    CF fucking rulez!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hear! Hear! "Apocalyptic Raids" kind of set the stage for the first three CF albums. It has been re-issued (mine in 1997). To see the CF and Hellhammer discographies, read their histories on wikipedia. Enjoy....

  • ive only got into them very recently, im i only 15 so i dunno how many albums theyve done, can anyone tell me?

  • 6.

But dont listen to the back catalogue without listening to Hellhammer first.

  • cheers

  • Definitely. "Apocalyptic Raids" and "Satanic Rites" especially.

  • @dtaus Who cares about Hellhammer when Celtic Frost exists.

  • @Amebixfan I do. Hellhammer is fucking awesome.

  • @CelticFrost1992 i got into celtic frost wen i was 7

  • @CelticFrost1992 6 of them

  • @CelticFrost1992 try the band TRYPTICON, thats where celtic frost lead is

  • @CelticFrost1992 they have 6 studio albums&3 eps wich is similar to an album i think the only difference is theres not enough new songs to make a full album so they called them eps.(im pretty sure thats what an ep is ) look up celticfrost/bio &look under albums&eps it will tell u all the namess&dates of everything..mattp///.;

  • @CelticFrost1992 One too many.

  • Read about their discography before diving in. Celtic Frost is VERY frustrating and uneven, but if you start w/ the Hellhammer demos and work your way forward to Monotheist, you'll get to experience a band being born, attaining greatness, losing their minds and finally reclaiming their throne with their best album ever. It's hugely rewarding.

Also, I can't recommend enough the Hellhammer book out on Bazillion points. Shows what four kids with some ambition can accomplish.

  • @CelticFrost1992 Morbid Tales and To Mega Therion are amazing. Just get those two albums and forget the rest. Cold Lake and Vanity Nemesis blow ass chunks and Into The Pandemonium sounds more like Metallica than CF.

Also get Hellmammer's Apocalyptic Raids for sure.

  • Damn I miss the OLD DAYS. This brings back too many memories.

  • Celtic Frost Good Metal

  • I too want one of those coats UH!!!

  • YEAH!

  • fark yeh.. this show KILLED ME!

    Long live Warrior and Co.!

    Great footage derek
