He is probably one of the greatest singers of the past 100 years. But he is a classical performer. Unfortunately, in this generation, classical singers are overlooked more because they aren't in the constant spotlight of the media. I agree. I remember in 7th grade English we had to "interview" a celebrity, and I chose to do Andrea Bocelli. Absolutely no one in my class knew who he was, but my ~50 year old teacher left a comment on my assignment saying that she loves his music.
