This was an informative video, but almost too short to understand if not paying attention fully. I did enjoy the examples given about neutral and negative tones. It will help when reading a book, and understand the point the author was trying to make.
This was an informative video, but almost to short to understand if not paying attention fully. I did enjoy the examples given about neutral and negative tones.
This lesson is beneficial in understanding and authors tone. Suggesting key adjectives to help determine the tone is helpful in recognition of the tones.
This video makes me want to grasp a book and decode the secret meanings that are embedded in words. I wish I had this video when I took AP English classes in high school. When I was in high school, I had to do analysis of short stories in many of my essays. I had to explain the connection between tones and dictions in the stories.
This is a short, basic way to teach about author's attitudes in their writings. Of course, this topic can be explained much more elaborately, but you did a great job just helping students understand this topic in a simple way.
enjoyed the usage of tone in this lesson, the ability to understand tone based upon word selection is pretty important - wish more people understood it.
Fantastic work! This video reminds me of how my professors would always put "clear voice" on my papers. This definitely sums what an author's attitude is!
It makes sense, although it would be good to see more examples of actual GMAT sentences to show how different words have different tones. But, overall, good lesson!
Damn you are ugly.
