  • i dont suck dicks for thumbs but i think xperia is the best.

  • thumbs up who think galaxy s is da BEST!

  • did you consider to put them all on their brighest settings possible? because it makes a huge difference in visibility

  • @TheMrDomingo ow ya you have lol :)

  • i don't think this is an amoled display on the desire O.o

  • SAMSUNG GALAXY ROCKS

  • correct i test this as a same xperia x10 is best htc sucks samsung galaxy s not much better like xperia

  • @warcraft9955 what is good in x10?? it has donut android v1.6!!! galaxy s has 2.3

    much much much better!

  • @Ameya890 Looks like plain old LCD is better than SUPER AMOLED.

  • @Ameya890 I have X10 , and i upgraded the android to 2.3 , and it was 2.1, where did you get the 1.6 info from ?

  • Samsung Super AMOLED screen is the best, nothing comes close. AMOLED rules.

  • HTC is android 2.2 vs samsung galaxy android 2.3, so ? HTC WIN !

  • The Galaxy S AMOLED shows its power @ 05:37 !!!!

  • i need some help i cant choose what phone to buy i thought about Sony Ericsson x10 ,Htc desire and Motorola Defy. i need a phone that is good for gaming ,music and browsing please help me

    Thanks [=

  • @chazychazer09 You need a galaxy s because it has a amasing graphic accelerator and very good screen. Sound is good, too. I bought galaxy s and i HAPPY!!! P.S. Sorry for my bed english:)

  • @chazychazer09 x10 of course most pixels on yhis video 480x854

  • AMOLED and S-AMOLED screens are not made for direct sunlight applied right onto them, that's why they're so blurry. The LCD and SLCD work better when exposed to sunlight, but are not better in means of quality compared to the S-AMOLED.

  • xperia looks like ti got a screen protector on.

  • xperia x10 is more brighter than the galaxy s

  • Are you tone deaf? Ghetto music is OUT!

  • Hahahah Samsung Galaxy is the best here . No Xperia no Desire '' S '' wins

  • desire loses here

  • OKallSUCK-in_sunlight.

  • if u woud say that the htc in this vid is turned off i woud believe it

  • @BarcaMessi4live ...the video maker is being bias.....coz the backgroun theme of desire was black...so naturally the phone cant show its colours...

  • HTC out undoubtedly

SE and Samsung, good job ;)

  • XPERIA X10 :D

  • @arshavin0010 Xperia X10 FTW I'm hoping to get it for my b-day... (25 March)

  • gread video man, thank you a lot for doing this

  • great video. i was wondering about how is going to be if i use a galaxy under sunlight, but it is obviously the best you can have.... and the prettiest too!! it is like a jewel... thank you for this useful comparison...!!

  • HTC ShINES LIKE A DIAMOND

  • Well oke... Galaxy S is better than the Xperia.

But Xperia hase much better quality.

  • @murbraan what? have you seen it in REAL life? in camera there's absolutely no comparison dude it's beautiful.

  • @WiserAsIGrow You love Samsung.,.. I hate it.

  • @murbraan Lol, I do not love samsung but the device it's self is just uncompara-ble. i've owned dozens of samsung phones iphones motorola htc you name it, it has nothing to do with brand in this case this phone is just REALLY that good :P

  • VISIT

    TOPCODES●CO●CC #FTW

  • the deside is worst of em all in this criteria

  • X10 V Galaxy S... Desire lost. lmao

  • oh hell the galaxy s is so much better

  • Thanks for this great video

I would love to see Nokia C6-01 that has CBD-AMOLED technology compared with these under direct sunlight (I know it wasn't available when this video posted)

  • nice camera stabilizator :)

  • x10 has android 2.1 :)

  • Please show all brigthness when you compare, I think you set Galaxy's 6 brightness :))

  • i think samsung galaxy s is the best in da sunlight desire worst

  • penso che il video parli da solo XPERIA X10 !!!!

  • Not to mention that the X10 has like 63k colors

    The Galaxy S: 16 million

    There is NO comparison...

  • Are people seriously putting TFT LCD over SAMOLED?

God! Some fanboys can be so retarded! Yeah, call me a Galaxy fanboy, but I had my options before I got the phone. Weighed them down and the Galaxy S has thee BEST screen HANDS DOWN. LCD CANNOT compare to SAMOLED... not even OLED. LCD is done and it's time for a change. OLED is where it's at...

  • @DarthProlif thats what i thought too :)

  • 2:02 - It's Adam Sandler lol

  • XPERIA X10 look so so sexy . best phone there .

  • @agoago999 Cant u see ur galaxy always wins!

Oh u cant see ur xperia losing, cant u!

  • @Ameya890 can't u see that galaxy s looks like an old flimsy iphone

  • @MrReymystrio who cares about it!{actually its not} I hve a galaxy s and it has gingerbread android v2.3{the best}

u hve xperia x10 which has DONUT v1.6!!!Now tell whose better!

  • @Ameya890 hhhhhhhh x10 is now on gingerbread and it's better than a 1000 galaxy iphone

oh yeah they should have named it galaxy iphone

  • ha ha...

x10 rOcks..... what is the use of galaxy S having amaloed?

  • i think xperia is the first... then comes galaxy s and desire

  • Slcd on the new desire version is best.. amoled colors look bad, it is less reliable, use more battery on white screen, resolutions on amoled cannot keep up with lcd with same specifications. Also samsung qualty is bad, and samsung suport is almost non existing.. I have still not owned a samsung phone that didn't get hardware and software trouble in 1/2year.. most unreliable brand I have owned.. moving on to HTC..

  • @vectraB97 but i saw people doing experiments with desire amoled and slcd display, the slcd desire constantly lasted for 5 hours and the desire amoled still has battery left.

  • @MrKokyama and you have prove this to be right from more than1 experiment? If it was constant on with black/dark screen graphic it would be right that amoled use less.. on white graphic screen like web browsing slcd is known to use less battery than amoled. You also need superamoled to get close to slcd performance in sunlight..

  • desire doesnt look good here...

  • Every X10 have a Screen Protector on becouse Sony make it up on any but its hard to see it or to take it off but it has one 100% becouse i have the X10^^

  • powersafe was on, on the galaxy?

  • Haha, they all suck in light.

  • I would take desire in slcd version before all the other in the video.. amoled desire is the old version. I think it is not even made any more.. I would also take the amoled desire before galaxy s.. Samsung Is a brand that fail to impress me even after all the samsung phones I have owned.. most of them got bad software suport.. htc and motorola is the best brands with android phones..

  • I want to know name of the song too, tell me pls

  • what is the name of the song i soo like it!

  • та ты придурок,тут же ничего не видно,нахера надо было на солнце все снимать? ты просто дебил

  • There you see how Samsung's Super AMOLED techonology does what it's supposed to do. The screen's touch detection layer is integrated to the display itself instead of lying on as the top layer - thus making the display thinner and improving the vision under (direct) (sun)light.

I'm still getting HTC Desire, though. The TouchWiz UI (the one you get with Samsung Galaxy S) still hasn't been ported to Android 2.2, while it was done with HTC Sense over 6 weeks ago.

  • wot is the best phone at of all of theese

  • Galaxy S screen>iPhone4>Rest

    /watch?v=xiO3s8NdQ34

  • hmm...x10 seems the best in this test

  • unless you removed it, the X10 comes with a stock screen protector already applied to the phone :)

  • what music is that?

  • Desire is the best, no question.

Alone the Android is better than all other.

  • @ImAlexHD or you fucking kidding?

the only things Desire is better then the two others is camera flash and building quality else the Galaxy S beats the living crap out of Desire Galaxy S is the king of Android smartphones no question.

  • Comment removed

  • @AudiBoison samsung software suport suck.. and I don't like amoled or super amoled.. colors look like crap, they use more battery than lcd on white screen and are less reliable, bad in sunlight+ look like less resolution vs lcd with same specifications. Lcd are also better with video, Htc desire Hd is the android king.. slcd screen.. super amoled is expensive to replace.. screen and touchscreen all in one.. slcd got 2parts.. galaxy s feels like a toy.. just like x10 and my spica..

  • @vectraB97 Desire HD has not been released so atm its Galaxy S who rules over Android phones and no super amoled dosen't look like crap and its not bad in sunlight you want it to look like crap all in one i think your just too loyal to HTC.

  • @AudiBoison how can I be loyal to Htc whan I never owned one? My girlfriend have htc desire. I own samsung spica. samsung suport sucks. I am stuck with 2,1 and no multitouch, even when the hardware suport it. sorry super amoled is not bad in sunlight, amoled is. But amoled and super amoled colors do look like crap. not natural color at all. only thing good with amoled is view angle, black color and battery economy on black screen. other than that slcd win.. I can pre order desire hd right no.

  • @vectraB97 dosen't matter you can pre order Desire HD is not on the phone market and won't be before middle october.

  • @AudiBoison Android also lags behind with Galaxy S - even more than with Desire, which is why I'm getting HTC Desire (Z?). Desire also has a optical trackpad, hardware buttons and the browser uses Flash Lite 4.

But sure, generally speaking Galaxy S is indeed better (it was published later, which explains a lot) but the fact that you are going nuts with such a small thing makes you a little silly person. "ImAlexHD" obviously doesn't even know that Galaxy S also uses Android.

  • @unberyl Galaxy S is my favorite phone atm of course theres some bad things about it but still its the best Android phone you can get now a day

  • @AudiBoison Sure? Didn't I just say so anyway?

  • @unberyl yes you did.

  • im shocked how good work LCD did.. but there was also a "rainbow" on the screen, which ruined the experience tho

  • sorry HTC, ur the least.

  • I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW THAT THE RAIN HAS GONE...

  • no screen from a mobile, computer monitor to a tv is going to be able to battle the mighty sun.. that's just silly thinking it will, as the sun is the brightest object in our solar system :)

  • Desire is good as nothing

  • i saw nothing :(

  • galaxy s first

    xperia second

    desire third

  • @s1nringleader

u ass this test fails as the sun is not directly on the phones! if u look the sun is on the left sides of the phone not on the top of the desire! and even then it would be unfair!

the best way to test the brightness is turn on the tight on a bulb and put it in front 1by 1 not 3 at same point because it will create light distance!

  • @s1nringleader Were you referring to the screens for the direct sunlight? or the cameras itself?

  • @s1nringleader

    Wooow , really ?

    Fascinating !

  • @s1nringleader @s1nringleader Khm... My phone is Galaxy S with sAMOLED. In this video i see - AMOLED isn't a competitor to sAMOLED and LCD with mirror substrate, but sAMOLED on the same level with this TFT screen.

  • Samsung is the best in direct sunlight

  • I have the Desire and the SGS and the Desire sucks in direct sunlight but the SGS is perfect...

  • @bluefisch200 you have both? I've been trying to find someone who has used both the phones. If you have to recommend one of these two phones to someone, which one would you recommend? I don't care about direct sunlight thing.. based on usability and performance. FWIW, i am an iPhone user ever since the first iPhone got released. I am using 3GS for 10 months now. Really want to move to Android.. thanks

  • @shirazshafiq Desire: - Fast if you do not play 3D games - Nice UI (Sense is much better then TouchWiz) - Better build quality and material - Very bad visibility in the sunlight, and that affects usability SGS: - Slightly better CPU - Stunning screen - Stunning 3D power (there is nothing that comes close) - I/O problem that you need to fix for yourself (xda-developers have created a simple way for that) For iPhone user: SGS
  • @bluefisch200 The SGS gets too much credit imo. 3D performance really is not relevant criteria for a smart phone. Obviously you want performance capable for accelerated menus and augmented reality but action games? Really? I would trade the 3D performance in a heartbeat for a 8MP camera or any kind of flash.

It boggles my mind why people obsess about performance on a device that costs more than a Xbox360 + DS + PSP designed for organisation and productive utility.

    SGS owner.

  • @CmdrTobs Never, the SGS is so fast and 8 MP on a phone do not make any sense...the sensors are just to small....also i love to play Games on my phone, like Asphalt5 (you can not play this game with a Desire)

  • @CmdrTobs I've got an old 3MP reflex camera. The pics I take with it are soooo better than any 12mp camera I've tested so far (like a pentax optio i10).

Who cares of the size of the image, I want a good definition, not a good resolution. It's a damn camera, not a screen.

  • @Erkyos I agree, but when you only have no optical zoom, mega pixels matter.

  • @saadiyaV because some of us have lives and don't live in our bedrooms

  • somehow viewing in person is better than on video..coz as far as i have seen..galaxy S has been good under sunlight..

    weird

    :S

  • Great comparison! keep that tests on that level

Desire is indeed really bad in the direct sun, but it is still usable then. By the time i havent had any problems with it, i think its brilliant, amoled rocks - just not outdoors :)

  • the best smartphone is sony x10 man... much much better than the other 2 and wait till it gets his 2.1 android

it will blow all smartphones away

  • @syria00latakia i sold mine bought the Samsung, its not really that good. Samsung is better but i still do kinda feel its a bit too much like an iPhone without being an iPhone :(

  • @syria00latakia X10 is the worst out of the three, even if they all have the same firmware, The Desire is only a smidge better than the Galaxy S, and the X10 doesn't compare.

  • ok buiut the htc and samsung dont shows a fuck man the sony is still visible....

  • add iphone 4 in this test

  • The desire and the Samsung are both iphone killers

if your gonna buy a smartphone choose one of those 2

  • why the hell you need to operate a cellphone in sunlight lol =D

  • wow HTC turns into a mirror lol

  • @TBONE889 LOL

  • Doesn't matter in the UK. We get fuck all sun anyway.

  • Super AMOLED FTW!!!!!!Although it is not THAT reflective,it still isn't that good.but still,in this comparison,GALAXY S FTW!!!!

  • Thanks for this review... also, the music is strangely good, but the bass is a tad too powerful for my system. X_X;

  • what screen protector on x10 is that? anybody knows?!!!

  • @knksmart no screen protector.

  • @knksmart there is a default screen protector comes with my x10, i'm not sure if other has it as well. but it is so fit that i took 10 mins to figure out whether there is a screen protector, until one day i ask a phone shop guy to put another screen protector for me and he removed the old one, which is extremely nice and sticky to the phone, i should have just put another scrn protector instead of took out the original one.

  • @knksmart hey dont has

  • Don't forget AMOLED has smaller angle to view

  • better pohne under sunlight is nokia 1200 hahahahahaha

  • @q8m302 u right

  • I Think any phone is shit in direct sunlight, my iphone is, but i am debating now, between samsung and the HTC.

  • @Dilly91 Samsung is faster, has a better screen and also is slightly cheaper.

  • hemm .. your video cam need to use a CPL filter. because the lens caught the sun reflection .. anyway seem like samsung and sony perform better.

  • @digitalgear: No it seems that some phones are using "Screen Protectors" that reflect direct sunlight.

  • All these god damn smart phones are either A) shite.... or B) great! just depends really on who ownes which one. Once we bought the F*ckers we'd better support um coz there's no going back for another 24months (if u live in rip off Britain)....And I love my Samsung for the next 24 months!! My old Nokia 6600 was better than all these 3 in direct sunlight...Progress??

  • the samsung is pretty good in direct sunlight :)

  • I like super amoled not because of its brightness. It's same as lcd and amoled. They all suck. One thing I like is the thickness of the touch sensor. It's only 0.001mm :)

  • Samsung Galaxy is garbage

  • @kiaba2051 lol and of course you must be taiwanese. all my taiwanese friends hate samsung without any reason at all. it must a political thing huh.

  • How did you afford all of these phones???

  • x10 is rhe best, 2nd galaxy, 3rd desire.

sorry htc i still love you

  • What is this incredible song??!!!

  • indeed bathelfire They all suck in direct sunlight.

there is NO phone that is REALLY good in direct sunlight, Maybe the Iphone 4 is the only phone in the world who can see quite good in sunlight but no that clear, The sun is reflecting on the screens so the clearity can never been removed if you dont take the screen off

  • @tredecker thank you who effin cares about seeing your phone in direct sunlight..you shouldnt even be looking at your phone in direct sunlight, the reflection actually burn your eyes, like staring at the sun with glasses..so put your phones down and pay attention to where your going

  • just increase it to the maximum brightness

  • galaxy s better than any of those

  • @Oposym87 ur either a moron or ARE A BLIND FUCKKK LOLLL

  • @vishalbigv Actually the X10 is easily the winner here. and the HTC was pure terrible

  • What type of glass is above the galaxy S Super AMOLED screen? Gorilla glass or some sort of tempered glass or regular glass?

  • u can see the galaxy s more

  • @killer3878 No X10 reigns supreme as far as screen color and beauty. not to mention it was the only one with a screen cover. and it still did better then the rest

  • @OGTravisC Screen color? Ha! Enjoy waiting forever for 2.1 update to finally upgrade the X10 from lol65000colours.

The X10 is also the slowest of the bunch and has no multitouch. The only thing it has going for is the design.

Which makes it a girl's phone.

  • @morbidfusion

Like the Samsung Galaxy S's 2.2 update will come anytime soon.

I still have my doubts about wether it's being updated in the first place.

Samsung lacks support for her phones, you know....

  • next time you will do (dont know if i name it correct) review. try to turn phones in the sun direction.

i mean in each of this phones, sunlight drops in different angles

for example i can almost see sun reflecting in that xperia!

which of course i cant see in htc and samsung

  • Galaxy S is the best ... no question

  • @bottomeline X10 Is the best ^^

  • @bottomeline na xperia has better reception

  • Galaxy S wins in a heart beat over all phone out today!

  • 'super' doesnt necessarily mean a better display performance. I think it's more about the screen touch sensitivity

    watch

    hVlsRCMltDg

  • Is anyone knows something about the song during the video? (Author, title...)

  • This is a mistake to doing that comparison with light sensor turned on - in each phone brightnes should be manualy set on minimum or maximum

  • Kosta Techblog, o Tehkseven user "xrisimopoihse apospasma apo to videaki sou...

    elpizw na einai legal

  • Impressive display on that Samsung

  • Didn't realise Super AMOLED was so good.

  • Thank you! I have been looking everywhere for a video that shows the difference between these screen types in sunlight!!

  • this is not a fair comparison. the sun in on left side and he is holding the camera on his right hand. he should have turned left so that the sun could be on front and camera on tripod.

  • Nokia N95 wins

  • @ModNet2001 Proud to be 2 N95 owners... Been using it for 3 years, how bout you?

  • @wj0102 my nokia can make video calling not like here ,,,in the usa .... all the world has video callin .!!! but when i got here i had to use HTC touch pro2

  • @ModNet2001 I'm proud to be an owner of 2 three years old N95s

  • honestly looks like the xperia does a better job in direct light

  • eww, ugly hand! Looks like a skeletor, need to put some healthy weight on.

  • Galaxy S WINs!!!!

  • Of course lcd under sun light win, but the fact that the xperia it's only a bit better than the galaxy should give us a good picture of how permfors the screen of the galaxy s.

  • Well, GalaxyS got the ability to enable "Sunlight visibility" options under videos. This option greatly increase the brightness. However for some reasons, it was not shown in the video. I'll s
