  • Dead silent my ass, your turning down the volume knob dud...WTF???

  • How does this amp compare to the new Butcher? I know that is a vague question. I am looking at both amps. It's funny because I almost bought an original Butcher when they came out. I love those single channel amps!!

  • What output tubes are in the amp. I know it can accept EL34 & 6L6?

  • This amp sounds really great

  • 1:20 Master of Puppets

  • Tabs plz for the thing at 2:07.

  • Nice gtr. Wish Peavey would push this one a lot more so that it would not have to be discontinued. Really a nice axe.

  • are u still peavey artis mr schutt?

  • @silentboy85 as far as i kno i am

  • @sup1967 i hope u are still. u look matching with the peavey amplification.

  • Good tone, but he fucked up i dont know

  • @SidVicious10101 yes i did. nobody was around so i didnt give a shit LOL!

  • @SidVicious10101

well all 3 channels sound the same, how about setting the knobs right ?

  • 3120 ftw

  • was that a train passing towards the end?

  • OMG! He looks like Fernando Alonso, you know the driver. Awesome amp!

  • If you had $4000 to spend on your dream amp what would it be? List your top 5 dream amps, one being your top pick and ten being your least. lol. Now everyone take part in this, please.

  • Mesa Mark IV

    Orange Thunderverb

Marshall 6100 LE (Badass for metal, but no demos on here do it justice)

    Hughes And Kettner Switchblade

    Early 70's Marshall Major

All Setups would include either Marshall 1960 Cabs or Mesa Oversized Recto Cabs

  • whatsup with the blue 6505s?

    thats gnarly

  • gary schutt is quite an amazing guitarist.. pretty kool guy too

  • AT 1:20 OBEY YOUR MASTER, MASTER!!!

  • for me all the amp They sound seemed

  • @oldschoolhappymetal your english wins

  • I bought this amp, but in my opinion, it does not sound good untill i i added a overdrive pedal, does anyone out there know what else it would sound good with?

  • Dude, are you crazy? I play everything from 80's crunch to death metal and I played one at length and there is MORE than enough gain. Even this demo here thru pc speakers should tell you that if you have good ears! To each their own, but when an amp sounds this good a pedal to me just adds noise and corrupts the good tone of the amp. This thing is an AMAZING value too, at $999 discounted thru online retailers for the head. I don't need a Bogner or Soldano for great tone with this thing around.

  • what kind of pickups do you have? that could be a bit of a problem.. and maybe a different cab.. i know that the 6505 sounds good with a mesa/boogie cab.. I cant reference much on a 3120.. mess with the eq as much as possible, or buy an equilizer pedal...

  • Or get a different set of tubes.. My knowledge of them is lacking, so jus look up some recommended set that light up your style..

  • I love the 3120.. but does it actually have good clean tones? I love the distortion but I play a lot of melodic stuff too and I need good clean tones... I guess a Mesa Boogie Would work for me but they cost way too much compared to Peavey

  • ive heard it has good cleans for a high gain amp

  • ok thanks

  • I have this with a Windsor cab. The clean tones ARE good there is no doubt. Only thing is that you are going to want some pedals like chorus and what not since there's no reverb on it. It's just straight up clean, and I am more than satisfied with it.

  • Very warm cleans... Not very "shimmery" or "Fender-like" compared to Mesas, but Mesas are overpriced and, in my opinion, over-hyped.

  • <3 ^_^

  • Okay I know the first amp is the Peavey Valveking....than the Peavey 3120...and than the Peavey JSX....but what is that amp right next to the JSX?

  • thats a 6505 with blue lights in the head that was specially done for NAMM. Doesn't actually come like that.

  • Are they ever going to put anything like them into production?

  • One of the worlds most underrated musicians

  • more importantly look Damage Control pedals behind him!!!!!

  • haha master of puppets :P

  • Peavey HP Special - extra guitar

  • ah para com isso

  • Great camera work!!!!

  • Any one know, what kind of cab it is?

  • Peavey Windsor 412 4x12 Speaker Cabinet

  • what is this cab?

  • great vid. Does anybody know those Peavey heads with the blue light?

  • 6505+

  • no it isnt.

  • The head with the blue light is the peavey 6505+.I'm thinking the "blue" is coming from the tubes. There are JJ/Tesla "blue Bohemian" leaded glass tubes that sound the same as the "regular" JJ's. I only know of one place that sells them and that is Parts Express part#072-535 I beleive, there like $105.00 for the quartet.Get a free catalog too, call 1-800-338-0531,hope that helps you..

  • Every 6505+ I played at Guitar Center does NOT have the blue lights. That means it's not the 6505+

  • It's a peavey 6505 + with changed tubes!

  • Sorry, no it isn't. This amp has nothing to do with the 6505+ except for it says Peavey on it.

  • This is more like the TripleX. I used to have a TripleX. The features are all the same except these come stock with JJ EL34's instead of 6L6's although just like the XXX, you can swap the out. All in all, not a bad amp.

  • its just a rehashed 6505+ from the looks of things. has a different top half too, more like the 3201. but im sure it says 6505 on it

  • Comment removed

  • It comes with 4 jj el34 tubes but is switchable to use 6L6's.

  • i wonder if this head has the EL34's or the 6L6s

  • how do you do that harmonic trick at 1.51, and is this suppost to be a 3 channel 6505?

  • hammer on and pulloff repeatedly with your fretting hand while lightly dragging a finger from your picking hand over the string moving it about. you'll find some neat natural harmonics

  • HOW MUCH?????????

  • MSRP: $1324.99

  • In Canada I can get it for $999.99 CAD

You might want to look into getting one here if you're in the states. I think it works out to about $850.

  • lol i agree with Shredthemstrings4388. i HAAAAAAAAATE Line 6..ergh. The sounds are TOOOOO digital.

  • i think i found me a new amp screw line six

  • it sounds kinda like a mark IV with that particular EQ

  • What cabinet do you recommend for this head?

  • I tried it at guitar center on a Marshall Cab with Vintage 30s and it sounded sweet.

  • that thing sound pretty good!!!

  • and what the hell with that glowing 6505+

  • this or the 6505+

    ??????

  • Hot damn, it sounds like a JVM2000.

  • Except it sounds good.

  • that is awesome. it sounds like the perfected version of a XXX. please do a demo of the 6505+ combo!

  • That's weird, I tried this a little while ago and it sounded like nothing but fuzz. Here it sounds amazing. Kinda pissed about that.

  • you probably tried it out on the windsor cabinet

  • tried one out today at guitar center. AMAZING! pretty damn nice.

  • he plays master of puppets .. ha

  • sounds pretty good.

i might be upgrading to this from the head i have now.

how much are these going to be in stores and online?

    (not the list price.)

  • bubblesisbaked, the head should be $999 retail at a Guitar Center near you. I bought this amp for that price at my Local GC, and it comes with a FREE 4x12 speaker cabinet!

    BTW, this amp definatley rocks!

  • On a scale from 1 to jizztacular, how would you rate it?

  • try this. get this head and a V-Amp2 or a Line6 POD and run it into the effects return or power amp in and use the head as a tube power amp. use the pods for all your different amp tones. i prefer the Behringer V-Amp.

  • No clean?

  • it has a killer clean channel. i just loved playing the dirty channels.

  • aaahhhh channelSSSSSS

as in more than one dirty channel :D

i really want to upgrade to this amp

i currnetly have a Valveking 212 and i have so many problems with it

some days it's microphonic pops and hisses and some days it's terrible mud :[

i think this would be a suitable upgrade for my style

  • moar

    i want this thng

  • lmao

i thought i was the only one who spelled it like MOAR

    haha

  • what song is it at 0:39

  • Crazy Train.

  • It's actually "I Don't Know."

  • O_O want........

  • I WANT A FUCKING LIGHT UP 6505!!!

    O_O

  • What's with the light up 6505's?

  • They're there to waste energy

  • i played it at guitar center it sounds like a Marshall

  • Awesome! I love Marshalls

  • Sounds like Sega genesis 16 bits !

  • Awesome!

  • I'd buy it.

  • listen to thomas blug @NAMM 20009...and ENJOY!!

  • wow, that's 18,000 years in the future. how'd you do that? BTW, yeah he is real good!

  • gotta go to this some year!

  • hey, its the expert village guy! he knows alot about effects
