This list is dead on. Both of the greatest moments in Bucs history came as interceptions. Nothing that the Bucs have done ever gave me as much thrill as their first Superbowl run in 2002, and even if they win another it probably won't be as legendary. But hey, I won't complain if they go for another one (soon I hope).
I was looking for that one you have listed #5, the lateral to Shaun King, because I remembered watching it live and I never forgot about it. I have remembered it as one of the most amazing plays I'd ever seen. Wasn't that on a fourth down?
@jbphil21 Yeah, I remember watching it live too, I had the same reaction as Dennis Miller, co-hosting MNF at the time, had in that clip. It was only 2nd and 10, with a little over a 1:40 left in the game. But it was huge nonetheless, if Dunn doesn't lateral it and gets tackled, it's 3rd and very long and we probably don't win the game.
@dethbang13 No, Martin Gramatica was the FG Kicker in 2002 when the Bucs won the Super Bowl. That game was from 2006, after Chris Simms had gotten injured and rookie QB Bruce Gradkowski (who you can see celebrating in the clip) was starting.
@dethbang13 The number 1 play on this list is the play that sent us to the Super Bowl (Ronde Barber INT TD) Here's a quote from Matt Bryant's Wikipedia page "On October 22, 2006, Bryant successfully converted a 62-yard field goal as time expired in Tampa Bay's 23-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The field goal was the second longest in NFL history, behind the 63-yarders kicked by Tom Dempsey in 1970, Jason Elam in 1998 and Sebastian Janikowski in 2011."
huge Eagles phan here...I was at the NFC championship and I never heard the Vet as quiet as it got during Barber's INT and runback...your greatest moment is the worst moment in Eagles history in my opinion...
I'm a Packer fan but I've always loved the Bucs too, they're probably my second fav team. I don't know what it is about them, they're just awesome. A-Train is my fav FB of all time, Brooks is one of my fav LBs of all time and Sapp is the man! Packers will always be my team, but when they're not playing I root for the Bucs!
great video man. i'm an eagles fan and as shitty as i was losing that nfc champ game that 2002 bucs team was sick. brooks sapp lynch barber that defense ruined teams. any chance you can upload the buccaneers america's game video?
Great vid.....remember em all. I sure can't argue with #1....almost cried watching Ronde run down the field alone in the quiet Vet. Thanks Ronde. GO BUCS
I'm still pissed at number nine to this day...McNabb threw two picks to Ronde Barber both for touchdowns and then this long ass field goal to win the game.WTF!! lol oh well
Too bad they don't have footage of the 1976 draft. I think drafting Lee Roy Selmon is worthy of mention here despite it not being a play on the field. We built our team around the original and undisputed greatest Buccaneer of all time and one of the classiest athletes in history. It frightens me to imagine what kind of damage Lee Roy would've done to today's game with that speed and relentlessness that he had.
The only one you messed up on was alstott's Cle run.. You should have used his backwards running TD against Minn that won play of the year! Nice video though.
These are the Top 10 Plays in the History of the Tamp Bay Buccaneers. If you watch play # 6, both of these Players are no longer with us. Life was too short for them. They scored on and off the Filed. Dave Logan and Lee Roy Selmon will never be forgotten!
Thank you for your video. As a Bucs fan and Tpa native, I appreciate it. I'm 42 now and I literally grew up with the Bucs. I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Selmon and Doug Williams many times as well as Brooks and Alstott and many gracious others.....We have lost an icon and a great man. Rest in Peace Mr Selmon.
RIP Lee Roy Selmon. I don't know what to say. He was the very virst pick of the 1976 draft, the first draft pick ever by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as the first (and so far only) Buccaneer to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was also a first class man, arguably the best to ever wear a Bucs jersey. Very, very sad to hear this news....
they are all great! # 2, #1 the two two happiest days of my life! ( The Lightning winning the stanley cup is also up there) i love the Bucs and will always be a Bucs fan my entire life no doubt!
@MattBarber51993 Indeed I did. Brought back some wonderful memories. I could actually remember the sounds and smells of what was going on at the time. Crazy stuff.
@MAGICBUCSSOX Thanks! Haha yeah, and to think so many ppl were against it at the time. I have no doubt #5 will have some plays high on this list in the next few years
@bobbythebomb21- I noticed that he was in here twice- 20% of the Bucs top ten is quite a feat for an opposing player. He e-mailed me today and included a link to it- he's clearly moved on to more important things in life.
I was in high school when the won the first game- I still remember the interception that clinched it.
Eric Hipple presented at a conference we held today on depression and suicide- he tried to use this section of this video to illustrate "What you don't know CAN hurt you" ((the video wouldn't play)- he's a class act and a good speaker, though as a Buc fan I remember it as a great Buc play.
@cbtrules That's so cool that he tried to use this, I'm sorry it wouldn't play. He is actually in 2 plays featured in this video, but I assume the section he wanted to show was the big hit by Scot Brantley.
@BucsFan2 I'm sure many ppl feel that way. But for me personally and, from what I've seen and read, most of the Bucs' community rate the Barber play as #1. When he first caught that ball, I thought I was dreaming, and with every step he made realization started to sink in - the Bucs were going to the Super Bowl. That play made me cry big man tears.
@BucsFan2 Nope.. The Eagles have beaten the Bucs over and over again and with them out of the way, you just felt that Oakland was easy to beat.. Barber INT was the deciding play in the Eagles game so I can´t imagine anything else being no.1.. I would have actually put the Jurevicious catch in the top 3, because it completely changed the game..
You make a good point but the Barber play is without a doubt the most important play in Bucs history. Philly had punished the Bucs at the Vet for years, especially when it was cold. The Eagles were arguably the Bucs' biggest rival at the time and it almost seemed like fate that they would meet on a freezing cold night in Philadelphia to play for the NFC Championship. Beating them, at home, was nothing short of epic. You cannot write a better story line than the one for this game.

@toffylights Yeah, that clip is from "Top Ten Records That Will Never be Broken", the only version of the song I know of doesn't even have the lyrics that are sung in that clip....
@RarelyEvenn I realize that means I haven't been around for their whole history, might make me a bit biased on some of the choices I made in the above video, but I tried to be objective!
@bobbythebomb21 I'm only 16, so I've been a fan for 16 years =D. and you had some plays that i wasn't aware of that were great I mostly agree with your list. well done.
