  • i saw him last year in los angeles at the bowl. he sang three hours, he was fantastic and he still didn't sing all the songs that he wrote that i wanted to hear. he's a miracle and a gift to us. i love the guy.

  • @fierrote Watch Video time: 1:08 Soldier boy "kisses girl" (It's his voice but he isn't even saying the word "kisses girl" nor is he at the microphone) Watch Video time: 1:38 No matter what the man "Say's" On No matter what the man Say's, He does a scale run on the bass and he does not finish up singing "Say's". In other words In other words, he cuts the word short but if you look at him at time 1:38, you will see that he is looking down at the bass not and not holding the vocal note on "Say's".

  • @fierrote and yet, you clearly hear him finishing the word in the audio. The backing vocals are his too and that part could could be explained away with pre recorded backing vocals since a lot of bands do this but yes, it appears that he is lip syncing this song. and if you watch him, you will see him miss words all through the video and even laugh about it at times...

  • @fierrote Fierrote this guy is a great singer/musician/performer and a great writer and he has NOTHING to prove to anyone! I too have watched his concert videos with Wings and yes, he is singing them but this particular video? You may want to take a closer look.

  • Great!!! My favorite song!!!! Thank you!!! 映像で見れてうれしいです。

  • It's lip-synced. There are parts with the "Whoa-oh Aahsss" where he is not even near the mike. And then he laughs about it.

  • @debjorgo You're right, it's lip synced! He actually misses whole words and that has nothing to do with the video and the audio not being aliened up plus it sounds exactly like the studio cut but I don't care because this man is a real musician and a real writer. You can bet your last dollar that the old Ed Sullivan show cuts were raw and live without ANY lip sync tricks and they all sounded great too!

  • Hate videos out of sync, dont bother if you cant sync it...

  • 載せてくれてありがとう!( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

  • Great great song

  • Sang it Paul !

  • I see where paul is coming from. My hofner is my creative outlet, and it is so easy to play, my bigger bass(Fender mustang) is great, but it is not nearly as fun to play.

  • mi cancion favorita del EX-BEATLE

  • il sanremo di oggi mi fa schifo... una volta si che c'erano talenti!

  • its lip synced I love paul but If I paid big bucks to see him and he did that id be pissed

  • @scootertrashism It's not lip synced, but the video is out of sync with the audio!

  • Paul McCartney is THE MAN!

  • magari ritornasse a sanremo... :>

  • that's the first time that i see paul mccartney on playback!!!

  • @ronedor only in Italy mate :)

  • The good old days...

  • god, I hate the eighties.

  • 1963 o 1988 Paul McCartney rimane sempre un uomo bellissimo:)

  • It is NOT live. The vocal is also mimed. It's obvious to me, but here's the proof : watch the video comment I posted, where I synchronized this video (with the sound correctly re-synched) with the Terry Wogan Show video from late '87. TW show is on the left channel, San Remo on the right. They're exactly the same.

  • Great to see Paul with the Rickenbacker. Wish he'd play it more often.

  • @pazzensutra ABSOLUTELY!! BRING BACK THE RICK,PAUL!!!!

  • this is half fake-life! the singing is life though, not the playing!

  • Why does he not play that Rickenbacker live these days?

  • @JRGrange25 Paul said he prefers the Hoffner becuase the Rickenbacker is heavier and he feels like the Hofner allows him to be a bit more creative since its easier to play the strings.

  • This is DEFINITELY a live performance... It's clearly different form the studio version

  • great song nd ppl jus shut up ok listen to the song nd enjoy it

  • Paul usually does have the "do do do's" and back tracks starting with "1,2,3,4" before the song piped in for TV performances...and looks like it here...but how can anyone watch this and not see that the video is about 2 seconds behind the audio? It may not be fully live, but I think it's obvious that Paul IS singing lead and the video is not synched.

  • why the fuck do you people pick the shit out of any little thing, cant you just watch the fucking clip!

  • It's amazing the trouble they go for visuals on these lip-sync shows. Look at hunky leather sax guy, (right! with gloves, haha!)

I like the Seattle live clips '76

  • It's not playback, it is played live, 'cause McCartney never playbacks.

  • i'm sorry but i also can obviously see it's not a pure live performance..watch at 1.25 he backs away from the mic...but on the sound track...he's singing "do do do"...

and he's not at the mic....it simply isnt fully live.

  • the video is just out of sync.... its not a recording

  • its not that much out of sync...maybe 1 1/2 seconds,,,but it clearly to me is not fully live....look when they also cut to the violin at 2 48 playing,,it is not on the same track.

i'm sorry..the track playing is not the same performance. trust me.

  • I agree; it's way too even sounding for a live performance. Despite the impressive stage setup, it's lip-synched.

  • I checked it out at 1:25 and it's not him singing, it's the backup singers doing the "do do do", which is quite normal. Watch again, my friend.

  • listen to what the man said...see the user hargest below,,,well this is a person as well as i am...who knows a thing or two about recording's and performances. i'm not going to explain to the how's and why's anymore...the track u hear over the visual image,,was not recorded at the same time. the end.

  • Play a sax with gloves?

  • Qué buena canción! what a wonderful song!

  • Great song, love the 80's colors etc...

  • Sir Paul has written lots of excellent music that spans my entire lifetime of listening to music and brings back so many memories of my younger days !!Songs I will always cherish for as long as I live !!!! Specially this one !! One of the nicest people You would ever dream of meeting !!! God Bless you Sir Paul And your Passing of your wife Linda from Cancer ... God speed to you my good friend !!! Ron Here in the states

  • 1 2 3 4..emm 3 4........1 2 3 4..ja.....y hasta que el sonidista le pone la pista ! ajjaja..pobre Paul

  • He did play his Rick when i saw him in 1990

  • Really he played it on his 90 tour?

  • video is out of synch not Paul

  • HE IS LIP SYNCHING:(

  • So won't you listen to what the man said!

  • Great, thank you!!

  • wow great , even Paul shoulb be difficult to remember so many presentations ....

  • Is this the last time Paul has played the Rickenbacker live???

  • Sadly, I think you might be right. What a beautiful instrument...customised wood grain and left-handed - superb!

  • probably yeah, I know he had it as a spare for the 89 and 93 tours, but as far as I know, he never used it.

  • very very good for story

  • thanks ...very good video

  • never seen this before

  • thanks for posting! :)
