  • great video, but you might wanna change title to Serval vs *Venomous* Snake

  • Yes, keep hitting the poisonous snake.

    Actually this is cute.

  • Serval watch out! A POISONOUS snake!!

  • aren't those Cheetah cups?

  • @lastsaracen *facepalms* Of course not! They're serval cubs! The one that killed the snake is their mother! Cheetahs are bigger and their ears are smaller and more round!

Not trying to be rude but even an 11 year old would know that it isn't a cheetah!

  • @TechouNoKokoro Yeahm, I hear what you're saying. Beautiful cups though. I'd love to have one as a pet. I saw a Serval in London Zoo, UK. they're amazing animals. Is it true they can change direction in mdway?

  • @lastsaracen cheetah cats actualy have white hair on their backs and their spots are so condensed they look black in order to look like a honey badger :D but yeah, these are beautiful cubs, but you shouldn't have one as a pet, since that decreases their numbers in the wild because the mother serval is killed (i know, horrible) and a part of a new generation of the species is removed from the wild :/ if you love them, live them where they're ment to be, the wild! :)

  • @mkocja5a Yes, sure. Born wild, stay in the wild, that is the MOTTO. I would love to see one in the wild. But I did see one in the London Zoo -interesting cat indeed. Compared to the Caracal though, where agility and clout is concerned, the Serval stands no chance. What do you think?

  • @lastsaracen yeah, the Caracal could probbably beat the serval.

  • great video.

  • Quickest animal

  • Looks like joltion from pokemon!

  • this is why i hate animals, they intend to harm you . . . with their face

  • The BEAuTIFUL serval .... W O N ;o )

  • Damn that serval is quick as hell

  • 2:09 EXTREME CLOSE-UP!!!

  • 120,486 did to the chinese version of a gremlin what the serval did to that snake. ~stick stick sti sti stick slap slap nomnomnomnom on your *&^%$*& head~

  • That's some good eatin' for the serval.

  • serval loos funny when it is patting the snake "hmmm... cahhhh maaaaan.... cahhhhh maaaaaaan" xD

  • Servals are beautiful. The punch they deliver is awesome. You don't want to be on the end of one! Apart from the stupid avatar at the beginning, this clip is superb!!

  • That snake was a puff adder.

  • these cats are awesome. their like miniature cheetahs.

  • oh he is so cute :)

  • Awesome video, but i still think if the snake would be a Spiting Cobra the end would be other XD

    So cute in 2:08

  • Anyone know where this was filmed?

  • @CatsforAfrica Definitely in Africa, but most likely Southern Africa....I'd say Tanzania is a good bet!

  • @wlsjoh013 ...lol Tanzania isn't considered Southern Africa....so lets change that to Southern or South Central Africa...there...better :)

  • That cat beat the crap out of the snake.

  • That stupid fucking beard face thing was so utterly annoying.

  • float like a butterfly; sting like a bee

  • Bob cats are amazing!

  • Neither domestic cats nor wildcats can tolerate snakes. That serval was a joy to behold! Only one other African animal can handle a snake better--the honey badger. Snake venom only annoys honey badgers. They tear the most venomous snakes to pieces, eat them, and then sleep the venom off...

  • holy fuck so awesome

  • nice music !

  • nice pussy, don't touch that - sore paw, sore paw

  • its a bitis arietans

  • its a bitis arietans

  • awesome vid!

  • haha dumbass snake

  • KIIITTTTEEENNNNSSS!!!!!*SQUEEAALLL* SERVAL KITTENSS!!!! and i love servals and everything, but why couldn't she just leave the snake alone, i mean he was just sitting there minding his own business and she has to come up and start attacking him-_-' made me feel bad for the snakeT^T

  • mike tysoned that snake few jabs than finished with the bite

  • haha what a combo right before it kills the snake

  • This video made me love cats even more.

  • We need a bunch of them wild cats here in texas to kill off all the wild snakes until they are extinct!! I will look into buying some.

  • wild snakes have feelings too=] but i get what you mean

  • @bisexualbuffthug

    dumb redneck

  • @105km I hate snakes! If a poisonous snake bites you in a few minutes you will die a slow painful death and suffocate. Do you want that to happen to somebody you love???? I think not so just aggree and own up to the truth. Snakes also caused adam and eve to sin!!!!

  • @bisexualbuffthug

dumb creationist redneck. Snakes are beautiful animals and should not be killed. Nor should sharks, lions, or crocodiles.

  • @105km Nakes are worthless killers. The world would not miss them.

  • @fizzybrasil What an extremely ignorant and cruel thing to say. Don't you remember anything from grade school ecology, that all species are needed to keep nature in balance? And snakes are some of the coolest, most graceful creatures on earth. I mean, they can move without any legs for Gosh sakes! They can taste the air and in some species sense body heat. It's like something out of sci-fi.

  • @critterfreek82 It's an opinion dude chill out. I'm sure you have lots of opinions that many would think is very ignorant.

And by the way, nice speech but I don't give a shit.

  • @105km snakes are fucking ugly, but we do invade there space. sharks only attack humanscuz fishermen are geting rid of all the fish so sharks are hungry.

    lions are FUCKING awesome,

Crocadiles are just as bad as snakes.

  • @christianjjj snakes, especially mutant ones breaders breed, can have unfuckingbelivable patterns and alot of them are quite cute not to mention beautifully patterned

  • @105km Actually, while snakes certainly do not deserve to die, debating whether or not they "should" die is useless. "Should" is such useless word to begin with and trying to apply it to the laws of nature is even more futile.

  • @RooboliusBrandybuck I aggree with you so long as they are "in the wild". But in areas of the world where poisonous snakes tend to show up in villages & residents, we don't have that luxury of giving priority of compassion towards them over our children and families. And we can't afford to try to capture them and drop them off so far away every time, not to mention the risk of even attempting to do so. But yes where they are in the wild away from people, no need to go after them to begin with.

  • @105km Well, they sort of have too. Otherwise the balance of nature would be thrown out of wack.

  • @bisexualbuffthug

    1) most snakes arent poisonous

2)even if they were, it usually takes hours for you to die (assuming that you will die)

3)there are many animals other than snakes that are capable of killing you or your loved ones; whats your point?

4)you believe in Adam and Eve? what are you 5?

  • @bisexualbuffthug adam and eve sinned on their own. the snake merely suggested the apple. the bible states that no one can make you sin, it's always your choice whether to do right or wrong.

  • rattle snake

  • not a rattler look at the tail

  • Nah, viper.

  • wow... i guess the snake couldn't take it anymore

  • gg reaction time

  • * w * omfg those babies were suuu kawaii cx

  • im gonna go to petshop and buy 2 servals (male and female)....

  • they are wild animals you cant just go and buy them

  • If a person can go buy a dayum aligator i better have the right to go buy a serval kitten!!

  • You can. Well almost. You can get a Savannah cat. They are hybreds of a Servil. I have 2 and they are the most amazing cats you will ever see.

  • @Aquaman2442 *Very* expensive, but amazing.

  • lol

  • nigga got knocked out

  • What kind of snake is it ?

  • @DrowSHeart a puff adder (Bitis arietans)

  • what a brave serval!

it literally beat the shit out of that snake... vicious!

  • Man that serval had the reactions of a cat!

  • Surely coz serval is a cat too..& look at how fast it reacted, which can be seen in most cats.. Their reflexes are lightning quick..that's why they're not afraid of poisonous snakes, coz they're quick enough to react.

  • lmao

  • I bet this cat could pwn any stepmania player with its reflexes =P.

  • Puffadder.

  • thats a good kitty

  • AHAHHA

the cat fucking beats him up

    awesome fighting!

  • wow amazing vid-cats are so fearless and her lighting fast reactions are incredible-cats are the best predators on land bar nothing-as for snakes they are rubbish-ocassionaly they can kill a leopard by pouncing unseen and coiling round it -of course thru venom they kill numerous cats -but dont eat them-like crocs who are also useless reptilians-and who also need cunning and even water to drown their prey -reptiles as u see in this vid have no stamina at all and are easily out paced and outwitted

  • Snakes are rubbish? They've survived since the time of the dinosaurs. Actually pythons DO eat leopards, and reptiles are not useless, as opposed to feral cats which destroy unfortunate amounts of wildlife. Your bias and ignorance is laughable by any naturalist's knowledge.

  • The serval is a native wild cat in africa. The snake is it's food source. Why do you seem to think the snake is noble but serval is not? Predator and prey. Snake lost the battle of life to a mother serval so she can feed babies. This is nature. Wild cats kill for food.

  • When the hell did I say anything about one being noble and one not being noble? They're both animals, and I was responding to an idiot who seemed to think snakes are evil and worthless. Also, Servals are eaten by rock pythons, but neither is "noble" or "bad", just animals.

  • 0:49 - 0:53

"hey!...hey!" haha she just played with it

  • Theres nothing worse then a snake..No matter how good you treat it or how much your around it you can never trust it.. It will always bite you when your not looking.. They blend in so well with their surroundings that usually their prey doenst ever see it coming.. Usually in the back.. Its cool how animals have evolved to spot a snake though.. Specially the ones who alert the others that theres a snake around.. Baboons ambush them and throw rocks at it until they kill it..

  • Does your ignorance to snake apply to other wildlife as well? I certainly hope not. A snake will not bite for no reason. Cats on the other hand KILL FOR FUN. I have had snakes and cats, and would definitely trust a snake not to bite. If a cat was big enough to eat me though, there would be very little trust there.

  • Yeah, science, so terrible. The thing that made the computer you're typing on possible. And what is "dik ililty" sucking? Something you do as a pastime apparently.

  • beautiful cat!

  • Owned. and cute kittens!!!! =D

  • Ah dammit cute face :$

  • lets hope they take off the teeth because that contains the venom

  • the serval one was HAXING! lol

i don't know what code he or she used..

    but looks cute funny weird..

    i remember the Shrek movie

  • whats with the thing in the corner any way i love the serval

  • Very interesting ! I love servals! She was very brave!

  • Whst that STUPID thing in the bottom of the screen in the beginning of the video?

  • I just want to say same thing....what the hell is that?

  • @gunju221 ahhaah yeah wtf was that

  • @gunju221 Look's like santa clause head!!!! LOL!

  • @gunju221 it's a character of japan. it explain to kids about things from this character, by animation so that the kids learn about it

  • man that cats asken for it! Lucky its so quick! My heart jumped every time it striked! lol

  • beatiful and with hability mom kill tha snake great video

  • The kitties have cute face.

  • haha, really ambitious.

  • good kitty

  • dude.... you may hate and disagree with others' comments, but to just delete them is ignorant and very big brother-ish.

  • one time one got in my back yard

  • serval wins.

  • Serval: 1, Poisonous Snake: 0.

  • this is soooo funny i just had to fave it

  • they r so cute

  • That snake is a common puff adder. Very common & is responsible for more human deaths in Africa than any other snake.

Its also the fastest striking snake in the world. Shows how quick the cat is.

  • LOL the name is Serval Play in poisinous Snake ! LOOOLLZ

  • The music, what is it? Rachmaninovs piano concert?

  • Destroy all the white folks while your at it. They're not native either.

  • you fucking racist shit you should go and kill ur kind like usama bin raider

  • I understand where you are coming from with your comment,we are not native, but that problem is over 200 years old. Lets not perpetuate the problems of losing native species by introducing yet another successful predator to our environment. This would be the end for many birds, reptiles and even larger mammals such as kangaroos and wallabies.

Hopefully the Australian government will block this breed permanently!

    Cheers.

  • Savannahs are different than domestic cats or feral cats. An F5 Savannah only has about 3% Serval blood. If one escaped and bred with a feral cat it's offspring would only be 1.5%. The next generation would be 0.75% and so on.

BTW 90% of the prey a *full-blooded* Serval eats weighs 7 oz. (200 gm) or less.

  • I meant to say *no* different than domestic cats.

  • who the fuk is letting the species in to your enviroment, people would import them to keep as pets, like any other animal, why would they spend 5-15 thousand dollars so they could let it go wild, that makes absolutly no sense.......

every dog came from 1 dog breed which is the wolf, by your logic no dog breed should ever enter australia ??? better go kill every single dog you have !! they are hybrids from the wolf !! oh no !!!

everyone kill all german shepards now hahaha

    this guy is a moron

  • Comment removed

  • no one wants to make servals native to australia, they are talking about stoping people from importing f1 savannahs, which are pets & not 100% serval...

go out of your way to do some research....

  • I never said that they were to be made "native"to Australia. "Native" suggests that it naturally lives here already. I said that if it comes here that i will go out of my way and kill this bread!!

Servals have an amazing kill ratio, one of the best, of all the cats.Savannahs are only 3 or 4 times removed from the Servals, and there is a strong chance of these cats becoming a real problem should they become feral. So perhaps you yourself should do some research into this topic. Cheers.

  • WHY THE FUK WOULD SOMEONE SPEND 5-15 thousand dollars on a cat so it could go wild in australia, native or not has no basis here, the cat would never become wild in australia, they would be a pet and fed by owners.

i own a 6 month old serval, i dont need to do any research, i think you do, your gonna go out of your way because you have nothing better to do and are stupid, subject done

  • Once the bread becomes common as new breeds do, then the price comes down(e.g. plasma televisions)and then we see a problem with accidental release...

You need to chill out...its only an opinion.

    Peace out.................

  • if something is the color red and your opinion says its blue, your wrong, just because you have an OPINION doesnt make it correct.

    next

your a moronnnnnn, noone in there right mind would buy a serval, or high percentage savannah and release it in the wild, that is just stupid, a domestic cat feeds off the exact same foods as servals do, mice, rats, and other small creatures, everything your saying is pointless, and im even more stupid knowing this and responding to you.........

  • The music choice for this is earth shattering.

Kittens are also really cute ^^

  • Any snake experts out there care to identify what this snake is?

    Is it a Puff Adder?

  • yes,it is a Puff Adder.

  • Thanks.

  • wow,the puff adder is on of the quickest snakes in the world and the serval killed it,good vid.

  • @SavannahsRUs A snak in the grass!!! HEhe :)

  • This clip is revolutionary in that it exposes a well-evolved and highly refined hunting technique Servals have developed for hunting poisonous snakes by drawing a strike-response and hence exhausting the snake before it is prone to easily being picked off for food.

It would be interesting to explore if Servals have evolved a high-threshold tolerance to venom as all successful hunters of poisonous snakes have inevitably developed. (like mongoose, meer-kats, etc.)

  • Yet another great video. Keep it up!
