@Snakstaz Heck of a lot quieter with the suppressor on than without so yes it a noise suppressor. Oh it can either be called a suppressor or a silencer. It's classified as either by the ATF also there is a wonderful company called Silencer Co.

@KickenItOldSchool The Suppressor reduced the sound a lot. Also he was using supersonic ammo which would be loud regardless. Also suppressing muzzle flash is something entirely different. If he just wanted to reduce muzzle flash he would get a flash suppressor which would not suppress sound.

Front sight went away when the barrel was chopped & threaded. You would get into the gas system if you tried to thread a 6" barrel. I started with a 10" barrel and had it cut back.

Technically, it's an audio attenuation device, because that's what it does.Take a 160 db gunshot, that's fucking loud. Attenuate 30db off that and what do you have? 130db which is still fucking loud. Not to mention the 'crack' from a supersonic bullet, which you're never going to 'silence' w/a suppressor. Ever. This isn't James bond, it's reality.

I'll give you a hint - when you're looking at the video, look down a little below that moving picture and there will be a whole mess of little letters that line up to make words. You may have to click the "show more" button so you can see all of those little letters. That mess of little letters explain why there is no front sight.

There isn't much straight-back recoil to begin with. But the gun has quite a bit of muzzle flip. The silencer takes about half of the flip out.
