Don't see any use case for this feature. If you have smart phone why would copy address to google maps on a laptop. Why don't do that there itself. Similarly if you are browsing on your smart phone, many phones have the phone nos as click to dial which is handled internally by the browser itself.

So what's the big deal ?? Any descent programmer will be able to do this. All you need is a touch screen laptop and a mobile device(in the first case) that has Bluetooth connectivity with your laptop. Write copy-paste code for the touch event of the mobile device and the laptop preferably in java or C. Done !!!.

I see a promising future for this idea. When I read many of these comments, I can't help interpreting that most people seem to miss the point of developing technology and they seem to only view this in a narrow perspective, not the potentials and future of this design.
The transferrate cannot be especially high if it takes more than 5 seconds to transfer a 10digit number! You might wanna speed that up if you want to make this reality!
damn i know how this works. its so easy. you copy the text you want to copy to another computer in this program. then it will send the text to a database that will send it to the next device you want to copy the text to . so you will need a wifi connection lol. damn what a good simple idea
Very nice and shows Pravav has the right way of thinking when it comes to natural feeling UI.
However, one of the really hard things in modern UI is using a limited number of intuitive gestures to cover a lot of functionality. Using touch for copy/paste is not realistic since most UIs use the touch gesture for more important things.
You could consider some way of entering copy/paste mode where touch has the new meaning. Alternately use a 2-fingered tap.
