I use facebook to share pics with family and friends, I rarely talk to them unless it's one long email at a time, or just short messages to update trending news. However, lately, for the past half year, FB has become a great help in watching episodes of ***** ***** and keeping up with spoilers/news of upcoming episodes :3
I use the Facebook server to connect to my friends more. I guess we all have no time to write a letter to them and wait the next few days for them to respond. I think facebook is good for stalking and sharing your thoughts with everyone. That's how I see it. I don't know what to think about this.. I have a facebook account because of my friends and family. I'm not the diary writing type so I don't like it when people write everything they experience on facebook and I don't get it why there is such a big response to it but that's how it works I think. If you would have a facebook account I would probably stalk you so you better don't get one ;)
When I get on, I don't really RP as much anymore because many people are notoriously horrible at it... but I have made a few long distance friends, that I talk to. I've got way too many problems with Facebook at the moment, too many to explain in 500 characters truly. For one thing it lets me see the things I don't really want to see...for example giving the runaround trying to talk to people who clam to be busy but they're chatting it up with others on FB. The best part is that they seem to think 'liking' my latest status is compensation for blowing me off. It's so fucking impersonal and superficial. Seriously..
Facebook does show too much info AND REQUIRES TOO MUCH INFO.

I am on facebook. I singed up because some of my friends moved away. I only added important people so I´ve got 7 friends now. I know what you mean, one of my friends is always on facebook. She posts something like a tousend times a day. And it´s nothing important. I think she just wants to force her hundreds of friends to read about her life.

originally i made my facebook acct. since my friends left the country to study abroad but since then i rarely talk to them and when i do it isn't the same, like we've all drifted away from each other you know made new friends, so in my opinion facebk is just an escape for people who basically fear the unknown of meeting new people, that isn't to say that people who use it are socially deficient but they just can't control themselves, they don't want to accept reality and go on with there lives.

I look at funny pics, Naruto pics, Play Ninja Saga or another game for about 10 minutes. I really don't linger on FB for long. If someone starts talking to me in chat, I tell them that my internet connection is chipping out or I gotta take a shit.

If you haven't already, since socializing online is a broad topic, could you talk more about that, such as chat rooms, forums, question & answer sites, and pretty much anything that involves one relative stranger communicating with another. I've had my experiences and I think yours and your thoughts would hit home for allot of other people that might wonder, "is it just me? Do I have and online odor or something?"

People are nosy and social and as such like to see what others are up to. :) FB makes it easy. I use it to stay connected to old high school friends and colleagues. It's also a great way to promote my art. For these reasons I keep it going.
lol Facebook is like a high school: drama, drama, drama and everyone's talking about what they've had for dinner or when they're going to bed...lol like who gives a fuck? And don't forget the "happy" pics others put up to make it seem like they're life is much more happier than what it totally is. I don't use FB for much, just for chat mostly because I've recently moved away from friends/family and I use Skype to video chat which I think is better anyway.

I use facebook to talk to friends that I usually can't. It's more portable then, say MSN, which usually requires a download, so is a slight turnoff for me.
Also it's easier to share photos with groups of people. Say I go somewhere with friends, I can easily post the pictures privately and share it just with a particular group of people.
I don't think it's as bad as some people are making it out to be.
Facebook is boring, I wish I could deleted it forgever and not just have it be deactivate.. but it's really the only way I can talk to other ppl cause I don't have a phone.. Haha douchebagsareus!!

Well, facebook is, for lack of a better phrase, a stalker industry, in my opinion. Even when you think you don't want to know what someone's doing, curiosity gets the better of you and you just CLICK to see what's going on... and then you realize you just wasted a lot of precious time you could've been 'wasting' another way, siberstalking people you don't even know.
I, personally, use it to communicate with my friends via PM because it's easier (and skype creeps me out, for some reason... )
Facebook is worth it for me. I travelled to a foreign country for education and Facebook (and Skype) helps me keep in touch with my closest friends and my family. It definitely is worth it.

I look at funny pics, Naruto pics, Play Ninja Saga or another game for about 10 minutes. I really don't linger on FB for long. If someone starts talking to me in chat, I tell them that my internet connection is chipping out or I gotta take a shit.

If you haven't already, since socializing online is a broad topic, could you talk more about that, such as chat rooms, forums, question & answer sites, and pretty much anything that involves one relative stranger communicating with another. I've had my experiences and I think yours and your thoughts would hit home for allot of other people that might wonder, "is it just me? Do I have and online odor or something?"

People are nosy and social and as such like to see what others are up to. :) FB makes it easy. I use it to stay connected to old high school friends and colleagues. It's also a great way to promote my art. For these reasons I keep it going.

lol Facebook is like a high school: drama, drama, drama and everyone's talking about what they've had for dinner or when they're going to bed...lol like who gives a fuck? And don't forget the "happy" pics others put up to make it seem like they're life is much more happier than what it totally is. I don't use FB for much, just for chat mostly because I've recently moved away from friends/family and I use Skype to video chat which I think is better anyway.

I use facebook to talk to friends that I usually can't. It's more portable then, say MSN, which usually requires a download, so is a slight turnoff for me.
Also it's easier to share photos with groups of people. Say I go somewhere with friends, I can easily post the pictures privately and share it just with a particular group of people.
I don't think it's as bad as some people are making it out to be.

Well, facebook is, for lack of a better phrase, a stalker industry, in my opinion. Even when you think you don't want to know what someone's doing, curiosity gets the better of you and you just CLICK to see what's going on... and then you realize you just wasted a lot of precious time you could've been 'wasting' another way, siberstalking people you don't even know.
I, personally, use it to communicate with my friends via PM because it's easier (and skype creeps me out, for some reason... )

Facebook is worth it for me. I travelled to a foreign country for education and Facebook (and Skype) helps me keep in touch with my closest friends and my family. It definitely is worth it.

I think it's better for your privacy, cause you can share stuff with only the circles of people, whom you want to show it to.
Also, even if Google would really take all your data and use it for themselves, so what? By all the searching you do with Google or by your YouTube account Google already knows everything about you, so what's the point of trying to hide it from them? (Maybe I'm exagerating a bit, but I hope you know what I mean)

Ummm yeah, you definately don't get dates out of it, Sawyer7mage. But it's a way you could connect more with your fans--although I guess you're doing that already. It's honestly up to you. If you have relatives or friends that live far off, this is a way to stay connected--but so is texting or calling them........ I think I've realized why I don't need a facebook. *Goes to delete facebook account*

Most of them are people I don't care about but just didn't have the heart to not except their friend request. I clicked approved every time I saw their request so I don't know who I added, & most of them never talk to me out or inside of Facebook. Don't get a Facebook... People can become really Shallow
