  • need to lift your intake port

  • i tried the exact same thing... didn't work very well though.. those weed whackers don't have nearly enough torque for that.. need to make a torque converter for it somehow..

  • the prop is definately too big, that's your main problem. If you get a very small trolling prop you will not spin in circles and should be able to get about 10 knots out of it. It worked for me

  • lol not a bad attempt i guess i'll stick to me outboard though

  • thats retarted

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • weedwackers aren't designed for the torque water imposes, it may work provided the throttle is wide open but you'll burn more fuel than its worth. Better just to buy a dedicated troller motor bud.

  • Still a good idea! You've just made a puller instead of a pusher. They make props RH and LH. Whichever you have on that puppy, you need the opposite hand, that's all. If somebody has already shown you this, that's cool. If not, I'm glad to help and it's an even-trade. You've given me an idea or 2. Best regards.

  • I don't think it was a prop... I think it was some kinda "Weed Whacker" try... Good ol' Baack CoUUnnTr'ee Lurn'in

  • wat the hell is so funny?

  • the women are laughing cuz its long but useless.

  • Try turning your prop around

  • "Excuse me sir, do you have your personal floatation device?" Christ i couldnt stop laughing after that.

  • don't get pissy because people are telling you that you are stupid fucking around with some piece of shit weed eater. stupid ass

  • Great torque...

  • Lol Prop spinning backwards.

  • haha this guy needs a darwin award

  • its great video when comments are funnier than video

  • get off youtube you fucking moron

  • the problem might be that its made out of a weedwacker to start with....

  • the propeller is in reverse change the propeller to turn right or invest

  • It's because you're only putting it on the top of the water. You gotta get it down in there.

  • reverse mode?

  • the engine pulling the boat not pushing it, you need the opposite prop

  • get a prop from one of those nitro rcs

  • wats an engine

  • need smaller prop, like from a nitro rc boat

  • Hey cool idea. What boat is that i.e model, make. Hope you fix ya problem :)

  • it doesnt have a centrifugal clutch? i know not all weedeaters do, so if it doesnt, that would be the problem.

  • @localdu Due to the resistance of the prop through the water, the centrifugal clutch would continue it's slipping, trying to get a grip on the propeller. That means you would burn your clutch.

  • Yah fucka the props backwords!

  • the exaust port is slightly higher than the intake, therefore i wouldnt work.

    p.s, im 13.

  • @minedronebiznis yea i can tell by your spelling. ps...it has nothing to do with the intake and exhaust. you should spend more time in school and less time on youtube

  • @bowmaster66 haha

  • @bowmaster66 who are you to say that!?

  • @bowmaster66 you are a dickhead. LOL.

  • @bowmaster66 hey asshole im 15 and he is wrong, but you could teach him the mechanical knowledge and make americans a little less ignorant one parson at a time. i will teach YOU. weedwhackers are made with all-direction carbs. and the piston motion going up sucks air/fuel mix into crankcase. 2 strokes can be operated in all direction becuase of this. 4 strokes cannot because the oil pump is in a position specific to the intended use of the motor, and it would not have propper lubrication

  • @traxxaslover123 Hey asshole. I was unaware that any sort of unidirectional carb was ever made. however you are right about the stroke cycle of the 2-stroke engine. By the way 4-strokes cannot be used upside down or in too many other directions for that matter not only because of the location of the oil pump but also because the oil pan or sump if your english is located on the bottom of the engine. Now come teach me ......

  • @minedronebiznis yeah its the fact that it has no clutch is a big part of the problem

  • @minedronebiznis I'm 13 also I don't have any speakers so I can't tell what it is, but were the hell are you getting its to do with the exhaust and Intake? You can't even see the exhaust and Intake on this video. I sure hope you are a troll, Because if you aren't you must be pretty stupid. Plus if its designed like that and ran as just a weed eater then it'll run on a boat dumb ass

P.S I've taken apart 30 old weed eater engines, Rebuilt about 12 or 13 of them, and Ive rebuilt cleaned 4 4 stroke

  • @minedronebiznis weedwhackers are made with all-direction carbs. and the piston motion going up sucks air/fuel mix into crankcase. 2 strokes can be operated in all direction becuase of this. 4 strokes cannot because the oil pump is in a position specific to the intended use of the motor, and it would not have propper lubrication

  • @minedronebiznis DUMB SHIT.

  • you need an opposite prop, me and a friend made on in welding class, it works.

  • lol! i'm gonna try that!

    :)

  • modern 2-strokes will only run one-way, otherwise it would blow through the carb, unless it had a valve, then it just wouldnt do anything.

  • @minedronebiznis you really don't know anything about two stokes, do you? Don't become a mechanic...

  • LA AYNISINI İZDE YAPTİK

  • todd ur ssssoooo funny!!! tht day was hilarious :D

  • poor dude lol but if i were him i would swim to shore and get a rope.and a weedwhacker?that ain't gonna work, well, hardly.

  • to the idiot who made the comment about the prop being backwards...it wasnt.

  • who is really the idiot? I have a real boat and it works perfectly.

  • @bowmaster66

im not the person that said that but you can clearly tell that the spray is heading toward the back of the boat.....you need an opposite prop.....

  • @bowmaster66 it is you idiot, why is the water splashing towards the boat??

  • @bowmaster66 it was

  • Idiots didn't even think about the proper direction for the prop. Very good, glad to see at least you are playing in a pond with a little toy raft rather than out there on the water with the rest of the boats. You are much safer in your little pond.

  • @AceLockCo 2 strokes can start either way.

  • What are you talking about? The engine spins only in one direction.

  • @AceLockCo No, two strokes can be started in either direction.

  • please explain how.

  • No valves! from Wiki "Regular gasoline two-stroke engines will run backwards with little problem, and this has been used to provide a "reversing" facility in microcars such as the Messerschmitt KR200 that lacked reverse gearing."

  • I think it depends on the way in which the pull start engages...

  • looks like the prop was backwards...

  • why a weedwhacker 4 a motor?!?!?!

  • cheaper than an actual motor

  • why it doesnt work?

  • thats why you need one with a clutch

  • epic fail

  • cause it's funny idiot

  • Why were the ladies laughing so much?

  • Not Redneck............more Red Face!

  • One of the most redneck things I've seen in a while! I like it! Quite funny!

  • you have to big of an prop try a little troling motor prop not a min cota but an old small one that a weed waker tork can turn under water

  • I'm trying to build one at the moment.
