  • Can I have some?

  • Right up there with Rats, mice, ticks, fleas, silverfish, earwigs, etc.

    Basically, Pests for pets

  • They're kinda cute.

  • I have to say those are the cutest cockroaches I've ever seen.

  • : O weird i thought they were smaller

  • mother of God...

  • they eat dried up plants to

  • roaches with wings do they bite because these don't have any.

  • holy crap those things are huge! very interesting creatures but I would freak if I saw one of those in my house.

  • woow

  • Can you send me some?? how much would it cost to buy some and have them couriered to Malaysia?

  • hmmm... you have some very cool cockroaches living in Malaysia! Perhaps you could find a Zebra stripe cockroach? They are also really really cool looking.

  • hey guys! How's it going? I hope you guys can teach the humans about us more so they don't go eew! and of COURSE we don't bite - that shh sound is us HISSING!!!!!!! why else do we call ourselves hissing roaches silly?

  • i hate roachs but these ones look kool(:

  • Hehe! I'll be getting some soon from a friend. :)

  • Hi, nice vieo. I feed mine the same as you do, but I never see a lot of activity at the feeding dish. Would you suggest maybe chicken mash? Let me know and thanks.

  • It seems like they only like fruits and veggies... haven't had any luck with any meats... In the warmer months we get lots of feeding activity, especially if they haven't had fresh food in a day or two. I'm hoping to post a video of some cool cockroach eating soon.

  • It's the RETREAT that is so ...

.. The Video shown was filmed muvh earlier

  • woah is that a bright red roach or it's bright because of how the light reflected that one? It's best seen at :08 and in the middle left.

  • Do cockraches bite? And wats the shh shh sound?

im scare dof cockroaches but nice collection altohught

  • These cockroaches definitely don't bite... They're actually really cool and fun to hold. The noise you're hearing is their hiss, which they create by pushing air out through small holes in their abdomen. They use the hiss to scare predators, warn other roaches, defend territory and find mates.

  • Thx alot man.

  • truly amazing creatures but i dont think id like to touch one lol1

    still gr8 video!

  • Anyone know were i can buy one of these?

  • what kind of chip wood is that?

  • It's Zoo Med's Repti Bark (made from fir trees I think)

  • Freaky things, but fascinating.

  • If these guys get out, can they infest the house?

  • Not this species. your cat or dog would kill them before anyway.

  • Technically I guess they COULD, but a small percentage of roaches are actually pests. We have them at our Museum and we put a layer of Vaseline around the top of the tank because they are excellent climbers! LOL, ours love the veggies we put out for them.

  • Looks like a happy little gang. It reminds me of a place I rented about 20 years ago on 8th street in that fine old city of Davis, CA. :)

  • I just love them. I think G. portentosa.

    Good Video.
