  • I have this model rocket myself - has a notoriously short flight if using D motors and prone to "weathercocking" in the slightest breeze - you did really well to get this flight off from a floating platform - great job.

  • @PWALPOCO Many thanks - what a great model it is, too. We've definitely experienced its "weathercocking" tendencies (see earlier videos), but despite having been through more than one disaster involving trees, the ground, and now water immersion ... she's still going strong! We're looking forward to launching Phoenix on another water mission soon. Another video will follow.

  • @PWALPOCO New video posted. Final flight of the Phoenix was ... considerably less successful.

  • Wow!!! nice video. Congratulations :)

  • @lagranhorabruja @nghonleong @superiorsoundwave88 @MnktoDave Thanks for the compliments, all!

  • Very nicely done....video and model. Love the comments.....esp the "Houston we have a problem bit" with the rocket in the water! LOL

  • dude that was awsome i love the hole video dude and wen it was crusing threw the air cool

  • Love this!...landing is just like Planet Of The Apes.........

  • Imagine what would happen to the crew of the tugboat if this were real

  • I would love to see you get a missle to launch from a sub. Just find a tiny little A rocket. If you could find a way to keep it dry and get it to pop out of the water, then fire. I'm sure there is way. That would be epic!

  • @TheDude2366 We're definitely planning on doing something like that in the coming months!

  • dude that's awesome

  • @FartingMachine214 Thanks!

  • DID YOU USE DUCKTAPE TO TAPE THE CAMERA TO THE ROCKET

  • @bananananaman67 No; we built a capsule from plexiglas and mounted it to the rocket by passing it through a hole we cut in the fuselage.

  • КЛАСССССС!!!!ДА ВЫ ПРОСТО МАСТЕРА РЕБЯТА!))) 0__________0

  • @Metallurg1000 спасибо!

  • Good video man! Appreciate it.

  • You should've mounted the Rocket to the back of your Battle Cruiser. Just like an actual cruise missile.

  • @360Nomad This rocket is about as long as the destroyer is, so that would have posed some stability problems. :) The barge was necessary for a rocket this large.

We have fired some missiles from the deck of the 702, though - both bottle rockets and smaller Estes rockets. Check out our older videos.

  • @Rapidnadion Have you ever thought of firing bottle rockets from your submarines?

  • have you ever lost one of your cameras in the water?

  • @brickerproductions Not yet. (fingers crossed)

  • @Rapidnadion was it supposed to fly parallel like an ICBM?

  • {chuckle} Not this Phoenix's first flight, it would appear! Yep, loved this (another fine production, especially with the background chatter dubbed in, not to mention the "pull up" "whoop" prior to the landing)! I'm a lot of catching up to do since last visiting but have no doubt I'll enjoy them all! :D

  • @texfanusa Glad you've come back to watch some more, friend. Thanks for the kind words on this one - it's definitely one of our favorites as well.

  • nice editing! hollywood, here you come!

  • @glassdogangle @rcflyinguk @crazybonesarecool22 @RCM1829 Many thanks, all! Glad you're enjoying this latest oddball flight. :)

  • Cool, I like it. Nice touch with the NASA audio. :)

  • i wonder what lake this is. :/ looks sort of familiar.

  • @Jacomelo117 Peconic Bay, in eastern Long Island, NY.

  • @Rapidnadion ahhh, i thought that might be it. my family went up there for a couple of weeks. :)

  • @Jacomelo117 That's where most of our shooting takes place. So much rustic beauty, for backgrounds. :)

  • Whoa this is 1337

  • Awesome vids SUBED!

  • Great! I though the rocket was RC until I read the dicription, nice level flight and land with camera out of the water. Everything well done.

  • That was simply awesome.

  • That was awesome ! I love the NASA commentary like its a full scale launch. WELL DONE !

  • Awesome video. Great flight, nice editting.

  • You guys always do the coolest stuff... Congrats on another great video!

  • apollo 13 in a nutshell.

  • nice!

  • You should be working in Hollywood mate. Well done.

  • @75echo @bushstalker @Sonjayw8 Many thanks for the kind words! Glad this video is being appreciated.

  • Amazing. I wish I could create something like that.

  • @TOMTHETOUGHGUY Thank you! There's no reason you can't!

  • @Rapidnadion Well, I'm a teen in middle school and know barely anything electronics or building.

  • @TOMTHETOUGHGUY Plenty of time to learn. Or, if not ... just keep on watching our videos. :)

  • @Rapidnadion Don't worry, I will!

  • DIS IS JUS LIEK GMOD

  • awsome!

  • @gunsfishand4x4 Thanks!

  • Very nice haha, I'm just glad the warhead diddn't discharge upon impact, That might be a problem. Great video, as always.

  • @YellingDingo22 Thankfully, we inerted the warhead when we removed the recovery system. :)

  • HA HA! That was awesome! I really got into it with the NASA chatter in the background.

  • @finalfrontier1701 Glad you liked it, friend! The NASA chatter adds a whole new layer, doesn't it?

  • Mike and Willie, I think you have eclipsed your other productions with this one. It truly is an awesome production.

Criticism: All the on screen banners advising to look and subscribe elsewhere are annoying.

    -Tom

  • @xKmotx Tom, thanks very much! We really had a ball putting this one together (though it's pretty stressful when you're rolling 8 cameras at once). As for the links - yeah, they can be a pain, but we try and keep them confined to the last ten seconds on the new ones. Par for the course when you're trying to grow viewership. Thanks again for the feedback!

  • nice job!

  • @jimhikeat @s234g @friedmanism2 @hanish46 @CatamanGMF @awaldegrave @gohangguy22 @dioncuda Sorry for the mass-reply, but we wanted to say thanks to you all for the nice remarks!

  • awesome

  • Just awesome...nice job!

  • very good! i was extremely impressed! liked!

  • Extremely well made video! :)

  • I love this! Excellent work! keep up the brilliant work!

  • i guess servo did not activated the rocket by touching two wires, but i don't know any other way to launch that remotely.

  • was this audio from that shuttle crash, i forget the name of the shuttle but the one that exploded shortly after lift off.

  • @brickerproductions Noooooo, no no. That would be tasteless indeed! The only shuttle chatter in the audio is from a shuttle Endeavour launch.

  • Amazing Video my friends. No comment.

    I have been stunned.

    Many Likes!!!!

  • I really wonder how you built the circuit that activated the electric igniter...

  • @iSOisoleucine @ciukcia989 It's pretty simple: a servo swings on R/C command and presses on a relay which closes a circuit between the battery and the igniter. It's a very small, self-contained unit.

  • @iSOisoleucine its very easy... a few relays a cheap rc car and a large battery and done :D (i did it before but i have range problems)

  • @iSOisoleucine you use a 9v battery and break the glass of a light bulb (cheap flashlight bulb) some cables. Then you have a single use igniter.

  • Nice multimillion dollar production .

    Good video man,Nice Job

  • so freakin awesome

  • that was sweet
