You are tottaly wrong.They don't train with the British and there is no "German" GSG9.They train by their commander's and with the Irish Army Ranger Wing.It's the Polish GSG9,by the way.And the Ranger Wing,I used to be in that.It was highly secretive and I couldn't even tell my family I was in it.And I can't give any name's or mission's we've done.But I have been with alot of Special Forces,1 including the SAS.
@sniper8117 if ur irish you can join the army/gardi and become a ranger or an eru member unfortunatley there is no recruiting because we have no money to train people but you could the gardi said they would be recruiting in 2014 my dad traines the ERU so id advise you to get into good shape and learn how to swim good luck :)

@milkpancakesndoritos im irish and the seals are great but the Garda ERU actually have a lot more experiance than the SWAT they have been fighting terrorists for over 50 years the IRA and they were the queens bodygaurds for when she visted us they also train many other police forces including the AFGAN police

@milkpancakesndoritos in fact mordern special forces did not start till the second world war i known what your calming is 1776 indenpents war (rangers) from your history if that is what your basing your arguement on then you could say the irish have been doing SOF since the Vikings or the Scots as there warfare was hit and run and raid based tactics infact there are loads of examples of elite some bands thoughtout european history
