this video is propaganda! Geobells would be proud. I was in a psyops unit for about 2 years in the reserves and really didn't see the elite aspect to it. It is for young college students or graduates with foreign language capability. They have maybe made it elite now but basically its just shooting leaflets out of a cannon instead of bombs. They have the usual assholes in the units same as any other army unit. My unit went out to the field once a year. This is not a combat MOS.

@bulldog54345 What the hell is a pouge ass? Anyway I have been there and done that, I came out of the military decorated and a honorable discharge, not to mention a secret clearance. It did nothing for me, I was even asked personally by the Base battalion Commander to be his driver and assistant to his adjutant. I gave that up to be a working class man in the telecommunications field so after 21 plus years as a network and telecom man I'm doing fine without the Military.
Since this clearly wasn't a video on the war.. you've defeated the purpose. Many people came here to make an educated decision on their MOS and see how others felt about it... and instead comments are irrelevent and unhelpful.
@MRMOWENN That could be any MOS. It all depends on where you are stationed. For example, If you are stationed at Fort Bragg with the 101st Airborne as a personell clerk, you have to be airborne qualified.
@MRMOWENN Those are loose standards, cause Psyop and Ca meet that criteria, and they are a waste of money. And rangers dont go through lang training and they ARE bad ass. In fact the only Unit that meets those standards that is bad ass , is SF.
How is it a waste of money? All MOS contribute. It's not always about using brute force. PsyOp's job is to win the hearts and minds of the people, which is pretty darn important in the Afghan War.

SF can say they have, and it has saved many ODA members lives. Its a waste of money, because we pay 2 different MOS's the 37s and 38s, to do a job that 18 series do better. The only difference is that 18 series do these things during the day and kick in doors at night.

When i pinned E5, i was told i would not attend the pinning ceremony, since i had passed selection already, and i was a traitor, for bettering my future. This was straight from a CSM. And another cat named Osborne in 9th BN, could be SGM by now, is a skinny pathetic leader.

@guitarhamster102 I was on a TPT as an E4 (field work) and at a regional battalion as an E5. Both suck equally just in different ways. Honestly i would explore all other options, unless you know you are a nerd, and fine being bottom of the barrel. The Psyop is right for you, outside of the MISO community they are highly looked down on. Maybe you can be the one to turn it around, about being an O, seems like it would suck to have to lead bad NCOs.

@MercedesCars454 There is no airborne or language sections on the ASVAB if that's what you're asking. It's comprised of 9 different sections. Automobile maintenance, math reasoning, calculus, vocabulary, geometry, stuff like that. It's not a hard test. I scored a 90 on my ASVAB and I have a couple friends who've scored between 91-95. It's only an aptitude test from everything you learned in high school.

this video is propaganda! Geobells would be proud. I was in a psyops unit for about 2 years in the reserves and really didn't see the elite aspect to it. It is for young college students or graduates with foreign language capability. They have maybe made it elite now but basically its just shooting leaflets out of a cannon instead of bombs. They have the usual assholes in the units same as any other army unit. My unit went out to the field once a year. This is not a combat MOS.

lol i was in the army and have a secret clearance... (first of all learn to spell) also it takes more to do what i did then to go to college another thing is the army will pay for college. Amazingly a lot of people join just for that benefit so they can better themselves. @bulldog54345 What the hell is a pouge ass? Anyway I have been there and done that, I came out of the military decorated and a honorable discharge, not to mention a secret clearance. It did nothing for me, I was even asked personally by the Base battalion Commander to be his driver and assistant to his adjutant. I gave that up to be a working class man in the telecommunications field so after 21 plus years as a network and telecom man I'm doing fine without the Military.

SF can say they have, and it has saved many ODA members lives. Its a waste of money, because we pay 2 different MOS's the 37s and 38s, to do a job that 18 series do better. The only difference is that 18 series do these things during the day and kick in doors at night.

When i pinned E5, i was told i would not attend the pinning ceremony, since i had passed selection already, and i was a traitor, for bettering my future. This was straight from a CSM. And another cat named Osborne in 9th BN, could be SGM by now, is a skinny pathetic leader.

@guitarhamster102 I was on a TPT as an E4 (field work) and at a regional battalion as an E5. Both suck equally just in different ways. Honestly i would explore all other options, unless you know you are a nerd, and fine being bottom of the barrel. The Psyop is right for you, outside of the MISO community they are highly looked down on. Maybe you can be the one to turn it around, about being an O, seems like it would suck to have to lead bad NCOs.

Banks get more profit. Thus, the rich get richer. Also, It gives the chance for the government to show dominance or flex its muscle around its international community. War would show control of one government to the other and even towards its allies. It would strengthen the alliance and would probably develop new allies to remain in power around the world. Not sure what M.I.S.O means so forgive me if I have misunderstood your post, but PsyOps is very active in the US Army and has been for the past 70 years. The 160th 4th division Psychological/Special Operations Aviation Regiment is very, very alive in conjunction with the Nightstalkers. @neerax Actually, they loosened up a bit on the requirements. If you get a GED you're good for a lot of MOS's. But it sounds like they're going to be tightening up the requirements again; the way I've heard recruiters talk they got too many undesirable people in.

Some people may have had a circumstance that prevented them from graduating..they may have been very intellegent..i myself was a victim of circumstance and couldn't graduate becaue i had to get a job to afford to live because my family was poor, but now i have 2 degree's and work SO PSYOPS..so you might want to bless your lucky stars those drop outs had the courage to serve and make something of themselfs

While you are in the military getting your paychecks, food,clothing allowances,health care,health club and shopping priveledges, enjoy it! But there are real people out in the world sometimes put in masks against their will who know a hell of a lot more than you, and you come up and shoot them because you are controlled and given a weapon and told to shoot. @MercedesCars454 There is no airborne or language sections on the ASVAB if that's what you're asking. It's comprised of 9 different sections. Automobile maintenance, math reasoning, calculus, vocabulary, geometry, stuff like that. It's not a hard test. I scored a 90 on my ASVAB and I have a couple friends who've scored between 91-95. It's only an aptitude test from everything you learned in high school.
