  • MOCOCHOCALATAYAY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is fantastic!! I love Guys and Dolls...Im playing Sarah Brown at the moment (or course Im not as good at playing her as the Gorgeous Jean Simmons But Boy will I try) :)

  • @Cinderaly001

    Good luck with your show!

  • @JimBeattie Thank you very much..and thanks for posting this video.. I love it :) xx

  • No buns or abs of steel. Thank gawd. They're all gorgeous!

  • chyba widzialem kotecka :D

  • i totally agree with you now a days models look like there all anerxiixe or there advertising people with turbquloses !!!!!!

  • That blonde is superb, she plays to the back row. So much talent, and I mean that lead dancer. It was hard to upstage Miss Blaine, but I think she did!

  • How high do you think their heels are?

  • I want to thank everyone who has contacted me about my Mom. It is so incredible to know she is still being watched and admired! I want you all to know she lived her life to the fullest, and still looked great at 82. She is very missed.

  • Goldwyn felt "Bushel and a Peck," a gigantic hit from the Broadway show, was out of place and mood for the movie, having a farm theme. So "Pet Me Poppa" was substituted. It's amazing how risque the script was; I mean the girls are in the, quote, Around the World review. I think it went right over the heads of both censors and filmgoers.

  • @waynebrasler heck, the club was called the Hot Box. :)

  • YES! totally love this! and *how* they dance in those heels STILL knocks me out!!! love all the little details, too -- like "claws" on their gloves! p. s. -- Annie, how sweet! you must be so proud!

  • C: We asked our director to add this to the play and he did gladly. :D so yuh. if you want to, just ask. :D i get to be one of them. ~ and im excited.

  • My Mom is the lead blond dancer. She's smiling from above knowing someone cared enough to want this number included. Thank you and congratulations!

  • @annie2768

Thank you for your kind words - you must be proud to have had such a beautiful and talented mother.

  • @annie2768 Your mother was phenominal. I always noticed her out of all of them.

  • @annie2768 she's fab!

  • @annie2768 I have always wondered who that dancer was! She's awesome, and she's shot like she's practically a soloist. She must have told you such awesome stories growing up!

  • @annie2768 I love this movie and always wondered who the stunning lead blond dancer was. A wonderful representative of the Goldwyn Girls! Love the hourglass figures and the long legs! What else did she perform in?

  • @annie2768: Hi Annie: Thanks for sharing. In "Mink and Pearls" I can stand it. Here, I can't. She's Stupefin' and Impossibly appealing. God Bless you both.

  • @annie2768 She's the better dancer and sexy too

  • @annie2768 Hi Annie - may I ask, what is your Mom's name? Her work was amazing in this classic film. Thank you.

  • @annie2768 Hi Annie - may I ask your mom's name? Her work is amazing in this class favorite film. Thanks

  • @annie2768 She's an awesome amazon of a dancer; the one that always keeps my attention in this and Take Back Your Mink.

  • @annie2768 Wow! She's quite a "dame"! You must be so proud.

  • @annie2768 really?! she was always my favorite, i used to watch this as a little girl and wish i was her. SHe's definitely the best, you can't keep your eyes off her! and my name is Annie too, great name ;)

  • @annie2768 Your mom was in this movie? The one singing: "Pet me poppa."? Wow, sorry for your loss :(

  • LOL I CANT BELEVE MY DRA IS MAKEING US DO THIS PLAY!!!! WERE ONLY IN HIGH SCHOOL but it will be nice to see the girls in those outfits

  • This song only appears in the film version. It's not in the stage production.

  • They sure don't make 'em like that anymore.

  • me too im one of them

  • I absolutely love this =D They are all amazing.

  • I am now a cat lover.

  • VIVIANE BLAINE IS AMAZING!!!!!

when i was adelaide in our schools production she inspired me to be the best ditz i could be :)

  • But you already had an incredible head start!

  • i dont get it?

  • I want that outfit...XD

  • Me too xD

Such a classy sort of sexy.

    <3

  • I can't believe this movie is rated G! I really don't think that the sexual meaning is that subtle though. They sing at the "Hot Box" Night Club. Hahaha I love it though. XD

  • i think this is hilarious, despite how incredibly demeaning it is for women.

  • when they say hello and uh-oh thats from bushel and a peck

  • The original "Pussy Cat Dolls" the real deal brother I tell you! Not like these water downed, sorry excuse for a dame performers we see in todays venues...yup those days are long gone so sad.

  • Exactly the reason I've never bothered watching any of the dance shows at my school-The dance teacher is awful and uses repetitive moves through lots of school and I know their dances can never be as pristine as this!

  • Why don't you show this to your teacher then?

  • They missed 'k'

  • That's what I call entertainment!!

How the girls danced away on spike heels is amazing. What talent!!

  • I love adelaide's shoes!!!

  • did you notice her bow was pink? lol i didn't relize that!!! :)

  • i love you, a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck

  • weird my granpop sings that to me all the time!

  • uh i got the part of adelaide in my school's production! that's so fun to sing!

  • I saw a costume similar to the girls' outfits on Trashy Lingerie's website....

  • These are some serious sex kittens... I want one of those costumes

  • NOTE: This number is not normally in Guys and Dolls, but only added for the movie. Usually Bushel and a Peck is here.

  • i am doing this play 4 school and i am going 4 1 of the hot box girls or the cuban singer i really dont want 2 be adelaide or sarah

  • But they look much better in high heels!

  • haha!

and then came the feminist movement....

  • could you also post vivian blaine performing adelaides lament? i can't find it on this site

  • If you want to see what Vivian Blaine actually looked like most of the time off-camera, watch another old musical, "State Fair" in which she plays Emily Edwards. It will blow you away!

  • And, I should say, what she really sounded like!

  • i love this song...especially the tom cat thing so cute...:333 so sad i can't do this as adelaide at my school...cuz it's inappropriate...:((( retardedness

  • LOL is it just me or does this really have a sexual conotation? Pet me? And she's a pussy cat? *dies*

    Still love it! Awesome movie!

  • lol yes...

  • Oh, there's certainly a sexual meaning there, but subtle enough to satisfy the MPAA Production Code censors of the time. Same thing with Adelaide's other number at the Hot Box nightclub, "Take Back Your Mink."

  • I love it!!!!

    Monia.

  • Their like a 50's style, more entertaining version of the Pussycat Dolls.

  • that's exactly what I was gonna say too, pretty much the same thing :D

  • And with the added feature of talent.

  • i love this movie and im really pissed at my friend right now who refuses to watch it because "It's an old movie, ans I HATE ALL OLD MOVIES" but she's never seen one. this is my all-time favorite musical. I want to butcher her right now.

  • I love the old movies, especially when it come to musicals

  • These ladies are flawless with they're dancing.

  • The pretty blonde lady up front with her hair back is the better dancer

  • Her name is Larri Thomas and she can be googled.

  • I refer to the featured, sleek-haired blonde dancer, one of the two using their tails for the others to jump over... she is Larri Thomas.

  • Cute scene notice Vivian never dances the other ladies dance.

  • But she has a lovely hourglass figure, as do the dancing ladies: quite different from the thin stick insect 'superstars' of today. I think modern film producers like women to look like boys, not curvy and feminine.

  • In the full screen version, you can her dancing. She was a singer/actress so she did not dance as well as the professional dancers. Still, she was a wonderful performer.

  • The fancy dress costume is so cute. ^^

  • I'd love to see a guy try that in heels.

  • i love this. we watched this in school for my study of stage musicals class.

  • thank you :)

  • omg i wanted to watch that i need it despertly please put it back on because i have been trying to get hold of this vid.

please put it back on :)

  • What does omg mean?

  • oh my god, or oh my gosh

  • adlilaid has pink the one girl is just and adilaid look-alike

  • "A Bushel and A Peck" was the original number "Adelaide" and the "Girls" performed in the original Broadway production {and also became a best-selling recorded duet by Perry Como and Betty Hutton in 1950}; apparently, Sam Goldwyn didn't want that number in the movie version, so "Pet Me Poppa" was subsituted instead {Rosemary Clooney also had a best-selling recording of this number in '55}.

  • I wonder who that blonde with the legs up to her neck is. Not Blaine - the other, tall blonde.

  • i like this song so much better than a bushel and a peck! why couldnt this one be in the stage musical. lol oh well :)

  • most probably, bushel and a peck was removed for the movie, seeing as the play came first

    it wasnt steamy enough

and vivian blaine is pretty steamy

so they gave her Pet me Papa

  • I bet they don't look like that anymore...

  • ill tell u that frank sinatra doesnt look the same way he did in this movie unfortunatly

  • That might be because he's been dead for 10 years.

  • surfininalaska, I know, its sad, but they didn't put it in because in the stage production, this song wasn't in. It is replaced by 'Bushel and a Peck'. I just got the part of Adelaide, and I too was a bit dismayed by this song not being there, so I asked why. Apparently its not in the adult version either.

  • i love this song....too bad they didnt put it in the scriptd for the junior version. maybe its too "adult" or something.

  • I love this movie sooooooooooooooo MUCH!!!! Favourite part in the movie its such a great songg and i love how she sings it!!!!!! notice the blonde girl the other one not the main one she is quite funny

  • oke ik heb geen koppijn! OP RT gaan we sekse
