  • I think Carnival and Princess need to have a look at Oceania's new Marina and get a look at cabin design at Cunard. For a Grill cabin I fond this one spacious, but no more "luxurious" than an average upscale city hotel.

  • search this: 'cunard cabinet' amazing!

  • The only advertised difference between a Q7 and Q6 is that Q7's have a shower and no tub to ... but from this video it looks a bit smaller in other respects, such as the absence of the dressing area between the bedroom and bath. Also, is there a bar area by the entrance? (Note: I'm traveling solo and have difficulty walking, so I specifically requested a Q7 cabin.)

  • what is that hiding behind the couch at 0:29 ?????

  • This ship looks like the Titanic on steroids. If people of 1912 White Star Line saw this, they'd feel like this ship is a ship of the gods....and truly unsinkable.....let's hope LOL

  • Really beautiful! Love it :)

  • well its the most luxurious ocean line but not actually cruise ship. bt u can call it a cruise ship coz its luxary is more than most of the other cruises

  • Do you guys have a black cat or something cuz something moved behind the far back chair at around 0:25 through 0:29. kinda creepy. Tell me its nothing!

  • lol on 0:14 you can see someone hiding behind the chair, and as the camera guy walks in that direction it seems as the one hiding sneaks under the camera and maybe what we see later on is their hand or something lol

  • i think all cruise ship cabins should be that size.

  • Crikey, THAT'S QUEEN'S GRILL??? Looks different in the brochure! May have to go PH....

  • I wish I went on the QM2.Looks like real fun! Cause,I've never been on a cruise before. :P

  • wow

  • looks like an expenive hotel room

  • yeah ive been on it

    its nice aye

im makina video of my cabin it was first class cabin too

    really nice and luxrious

  • Who's hiding behind the seat at 0:29?

  • i realy wana go on this cruise liner probs going sumer 2010 cant w8 :) :) :) :) :) :)

  • i worked on there

  • wow looks great its my life dream to go on that ship im leaving school in less than a year and i am saving alot! lol

  • looks great

  • I am going on the Queen Mary 2 next summer in June. I am so very much looking forward to it.

  • any clue on the rate for the Balmoral Duplex Apartment? I saw on a site it goes p/p per DAY?? Is that correct? This is a sweet looking ship!!

  • Oh... way cool!

  • i'd love to go on the QM2 trans-atlantic one day.. how much is a cabin like this. Is this one of the top ones?

  • yeah its one of the top ones. my parents stayed in one of these and it was around $10,000 per person and my sister and i stayed on deck 6 which was the same level as the minnows pool and it was $7,000 per person but the rooms arent noticably smaller and we had a sheltered balcony and it was alot better then the higher ones in my opinion

  • ich finde das gut das jemand von innen also ne kabine gefilmt hat wollt schon immer mal wissen wie dort ne kabine aufn schiff aussieht danke fürs filmen ;)

  • omg! i give everything for that trip! What's the price of that trip?

  • We,ve sailed 3 times. We go again Jan 3. Always sailed on deck 5. this next cruise we will be in "Britania Club"(deck 12).Would like to try Queens Grill. Menue should be similar though..more ala carte items. On the last cruise I purchased Caviar(which I love)I found it to be quite inferior to what I'm used to having.Ive seen a few Queens rooms when making friends. I'll agree they're more luxurious, but don't feel they're really worth the extra.

  • that's actually the CHEAPEST of the Queen's Grill suites (agreeing w/Germania72). The real suites to see are the 2 story ones like the Buckingham Suite (the one i was in ^_^). to me, the QM2 is the best ocean liner.

  • what about sea sickness?

  • when i was on the cruise i didn't get seasick, which was a surprise because i can get carsick pretty easily. there's doctors onboard if you do get sick, though.

  • Hum...I worked for the Queen Mary 2 from october 2007-march 2008...and that's not the best example for a Queen's Grill cabin. The best ones (and proper ones) are between deck 9 and 10...The penthouses with their own butlers and jacuzzis.

  • yes, we thought so. We are on the QM2 again in August and will be on deck 9 so looking forward to that

  • You will have a surprise there...I was only a buffet steward, but I had the chance to walk around the suites to set champagne or chocolates and these ones were really nice.

  • i went on the ship and i had a shit cabin but u neva in it you in it for sleepin and getin ready to go out so wt point in speind fortunes oin a good cabin wne u ent in it

brilliant ship tho fink i goin again soon lol i was in brittaina resturant and the waiters are brillaint so kind and everyfing the pools are good and that jus that there not much to do durning the night except the show then go to the golden lion pub apart from that there was nuffin else to do really at night

  • I just like to hear that guy talk. He's got a voice like velvet.

  • I love this cabin!

  • There is no comparison between the food (or the dining experience) in either of the Grills to the Britannia. The Grills (Queens or Princess) are a huge step above.

  • Er...can we please use the term. SHIP...not boat, lol. You know they always refer to ships as 'she' or ' her...? Well its take a hell of allot of paint to make them look good.

  • I have been on this ship like 3 times before...and it was so much fun....i wanna go again.. :)

  • i really really wanna ride the QM2!

  • it is a really fun exicting boat ive been on it twice and one time we went through a tropical storm and the boat didnot rock that much

  • i just got back from the presidents weekend.

    it was amazing

  • Lol. I was in one of the 'cheap' ones - Britannia Restaurant, Deck 4, Inside. They're much smaller, but who cares? We only used the stateroom for sleeping and changing - we spent the rest of the time having fun in the rest of the ship. Why stay in your cabin when you're on the most gorgeous ship afloat?

  • Queen's grill staterooms are basically just a bit larger than the Britannia ones as they are only meant to sleep and chill in. Besides, a grill cabin will simply get you better food and you'll avoid the big crowd at the king's court or Britannia Restaurant.

If you desire the truely decadent style of cruising aboard QM2 it'll cost you 25k a day for a grand duplex suite. QM2 was designed for upper class mass tourism and not in the noblesse tradition of the Titanic.

  • I've heard a few people say they prefer the atmosphere of the Britannia to the Queen's Grill. I can't imagine the food being any better, anyway.

  • wow, those are gorgeous!

i saw a clip on dailyplanetclips dot ca about the queen mary 2, it looks so beautiful.

  • i really wanna try out htis ship, it;s great and looks cool, cruising is the best

  • thnks for the insight

  • Only 1 basin? Come on, your in one of the best cabins afloat! Don't complain!

  • I agree man. I'll switch places anytime. You could be like me and be stuck in the Brittania Club :(

  • I went on the QM2 From Southhampton to New York, and if you go to that Kidz Zone, if you go on the X Box's play Obvlivion, and you'll see my file. :D

I was crossing from May 18th to the 24th.

  • i was working on this piece of ship this is 21st century slavery... pitty

  • i for 1 am disapontid in the 1 bace no aface just to let you know .

  • nice idea..your blog! hope you like the aerial footage!

  • we are going on the qm2 next year and we are in the balmoral and hollyrood grand duplex suites. is it nice?

  • This accommodation looks somewhat basic for queens grill. I'm just wondering what the standard cabins are like!

  • standard cabins ARE very basic & compact, however they're well facilitated. i would say our twin bed cabin was roughly the size of this one if you imagine a wall opposite the bed going along where the sitting area is. remember that you don't spend much time in your cabin plus all cabins (i think all) have a balcony!

  • no, not ALL cabins have a balcony, but the majority do. (i went on the QM2 in august 2006). it's a fantastic ship - we were moving 2 america, nd it wuz like the begining scene in titanic!!! sooo cool!!

  • i went on the QM2 in the school summer holidays it was from Southampton to New York an amazing experience my parents are taking us on again next April i can't wait. the best room has to be the grand lobby and the Britannia restaurant the restaurant has a dome made from glass and iron its was the best cruise ever

  • did you go on the southampton to new york cruise in august 2006? i wonder if we were on the same cruise.. it was amazing! i could have lived on that ship haha!

  • yeah maybe, but sadley were off on the QM2 later on not april i loved that ship it was awsome

  • Thanks for sharing. I was on the QM2 Mediterranean Explorer in September this year. Good to know what the "Queen's Grill" rooms is like.

  • ive been on it. its a lovely ship. takes a week for a crossing but u can find something to do all the time. Btw its a mile 4 times round the walkway.

  • i am envious! I am looking forward to doing the crossing!!

  • i travelled on the qm2 from the u.k to new york in early august.. it was amazing & i miss it so much- it felt like home!

  • I'm going on my second transatlantic crossing this October!

  • Thanks for the comments! It is a fabulous ship!!!

  • Very interesting. I always wanted to see what it was like on the new Queen Mary2. I travelled on the Mauretania2 twice as a normal passenger, also the SS America and the early small Masdam away back in the fifties.
