Mine sucks too! I have paper wasps flying all around my deck and none ever care about this thing and if one so happens to go in... it almost always escapes. I will say it does okay at catching the really small little yellow jackets.
I dont know what cessna421ace is talking about. At first mine didn't catch any, but i didn't put it in an area where bee traffic was high. Once i put it near flowers, we had 20 yellowjackets and counting in a few days. Not much wasps or hornets in our area.
same here I've had it out a week.. there are wasps making nests not 2 feet away from the trap and it has yet to catch anything but a few gnats.. false advertizing at its best.
I agree. I haven't done anything with my traps in months. They need to be thrown in the trash. I thought about buying another refill and giving it one more shot but I've done that once already and feel I would have better chances in Vegas than catching wasps in my backyard with the WHY Trap. It is very disappointing to spend $30 on something and see it NOT work right before your eyes... and to see a wasp in it and then watch it crawl back out. I kill more wasps inside with a paper towel.
I have had my WHY Trap over a month. It has successfully caught ONE wasp. My other WHY Trap caught one wasp but it climbed back out. I see wasps flying within 2 feet of the trap and they are not attracted to it at all. Two traps, one refill, and out 30 dollars... end result=terribly unhappy with the results of this trap (both of them). Since hanging the traps I have killed 6-10 wasps in my house.
We're interested in figuring out why your traps haven't been performing and helping you have better results. Please call us at 1-800-666-6766 and you'll reach a live person during business hours.
If the weather is on the cool side, sometimes a wasp can figure out how to get back out. When the daytime highs consistently reach 70 degrees, the catches should increase. Right now only the queens are out and the numbers are small. Please keep in touch with us and let us know if you're still not satisfied in another week of using the trap.
Since I wrote my last comment an hour ago I did have ONE WASP in my WHY TRAP. I was so excited. I went back and checked it after mowing the lawn and guess what.. it climbed out.. IT'S GONE! I am not convinced. So far this thing is a piece of crap for me and I have two pieces of crap!
I have a WHY trap that has been out for a week. I caught a few bugs the size of gnats. I have high hopes for this trap. I bought two of them. So far.. wasps caught or killed... In WHY TRAPS = 0, inside my house = 2.
