Ok, so i've been watching these ATI vs. Nividia videos... i like Nividia because thats all i've ever used... but i wanna give ATI a try, and my new computer is TOTALLY AMD based, i wanna know if i can get an Intel/Nividia computer that would do just as good or better for under 1k.

The reason Nvidia cars are so expensive, is because they put most of it towards development for newer versions of directx as long as a large amount of other things and features.

For some reason, Nvidia allows Amd/Ati to use these things.

Well, you know what, I still with my 3850 (512 mb, 256 bits) 2007~2008-today. AND I can still run ANY fucking game out there. not the same with my poor Nvidia 8800 GT.I don't even bother upgrading my rig. I will do this when I cant run a game. I run all the games on a 30-40 FPS basis on Medium-High. I tried my 8800 again some days ago. Guess what? not even but it did not worked wiht my games D: It is Sad. @Amunication Depends what you're doing, intense Video editing and intense 3D editing requires you to have at least 16gb to work decent and trust me you can easily fill up the remaining 8gbs you have..

It just depends what ur doing, gaming wise 4gb should be way enough at this point of time (will be different in a very short time lapse of 2 years).. normal computing like only internet and text shizzle would only need like 2gb... it just depends what ur doing

The Nvidia GTX 480 has more video memory and faster video memory than the ATI Radeon HD 5870. Of course, it's going to be slightly faster. I don't believe this was a fair fight. To assume that all Nvidia video cards are faster than all ATI video cards because of this YouTube video is rather silly.

This information is sort of misleading. This video was made in 2010. I think it depends on which video drivers you have installed. I have an ATI Radeon 5770 video card. AMD has made major improvements to their video drivers. Their current video drivers are a lot better and faster than their drivers from last year. I've used Nvidia and ATI video cards. I do believe ATI video cards are faster than Nvidia video cards. A good power supply in the computer makes a difference too.

They both just trade blows with each other in the end. Who has the faster card just depends on the time of year. Once you get to their fastest card usually the single chip Nvidia card is faster but ATI wins by making a 2 GPU card to take down Nvidia. ATI is famous for being more efficient, and overall 90%+ performance for a much better price. but this is all relative to how long a card has been out, and how long till the next best thing arrives.
