@as08 ... I'm sorry, but I am literate. I do go to Congress.org, frequently. Since I am literate (I do read, write well), I can see that democrats write legislation for the man. In other words, they write legislation that attempts to preserve social security, Medicare, the refurbishing of infrastructure, etc, while Republicans shoot the legislation down.
Democrats advocate for the man while republicans advocate only for the wealthy man. Try reading the facts, for a change (if you can).

@as0 We should just split into two groups. One group will pay no income tax or tax of any kind. These non-tax payers will have access to roads they can build for themselves to drive down, to police and fire protection they can afford to pay for themselves, no access to public schools, either. You can pay for your old age pension with the money you save from not paying taxes. No social security for you. The rest of us will pay tax and continue on as usual. I wonder who will come out better?

@Samantha30090 51% of americans already don't pay income tax so we are already split. Many fire dept already charge you for coming to the scene on top of the taxes they receive. I'm in my 20's and I doubt I will see any SSI unless something changes. Already the majority of SS recipients receive less than they put in. Why should the gov't be a monopoly in the services they provide. Competition provides lower prices and a higher quality product.
