@minawa25 well hes been the main "star" of "storm chasers" since it began airing...theres also a chance that his film hasnt quite made a profit yet (considering it isnt a wide release film like hollywood movies, but rather a film that plays in a few theatres at a time, and ones that arent attended to nearly as often as the hollywood movies)
i would think he gets paid for being on storm chasers...so if thats the case, it makes sense that he would continue to be on the show
