hey tony i have a quick question...are you supposed to paint primer to fill scratches and sand the surface and paint over the bare metal/sealer or should i paint over the primer?
@ZebraheadY2J Yes you can use primer to fill scratches... sand it flat, re prime if needed, then always paint over primer! :) If you want to get all the info you need in FULL-LENGTH video training just take a look at our popular VIP Course learnautobodyandpaint(.)com
@NguyenEmpir3 A shop will charge you about 300-$500. US. Maybe more since the dollar is dropping like a lead bullet. haha... They may take gold as payment!
Let me ask you a question. Why did you go with spending a lot of time repairing the Door as opposed to replacing the door skin. It had to have taking countless hours of labor to fix that door
@taylorb2053 This door skin was replaced :) We pulled it to get it close to the original shape. This way when you put the new skin on your not fighting the inner panel too much. We just didin't show that process in the (quick clips) It's all laid out step-by-step on the website-learnautobodyandpaint(.)com
@vmendez1414 hey i already paint it thanxs man i wanna make it shinner how can i bought this poly clear how many coats can i put the paint i used was acryliv urethane paint thanxs once again
man like all ur vids i have question hopefully u answer im decided to paint my 350z i already wash n clean the area, also i sanded with a 500 grit the whole car but not all the way down just the gloss but dont know if i should prime the whole car hopefully u can help me out thanks bro,
skills are lame, you dont orbital filler should be hand crafted with not a $4 3m block bet its rippled to hell with wet sanding fingering the primer should also be blocked dry/wet, not been funny but dont go post videos on youtube thinking you do the best work when not it quite in fact to a poor standard.
@lowdailys ohhh wow! You have the BEST videos. I've been painting for over 10 years, featured cars in Car Shows, Charged Tens of Thousands of dollars for paint jobs. My methods work for me. Obviously I know what I'm doing, so I CAN afford to take short cuts when I feel like it. Yeah no kidding, about blocking. Duhh.
@xXEastSideRoyalsXx Guide coat it and sand dry with 220. Then wet sand with 600. wipe it with wax and grease remover and look at it. see scrathes sand till gone. Then ready to seal and paint.

@vmendez1414 If you are painting the same color then no. It all depends on what color you are painting.

For a do it yourself job, do you have to sand down to the primer?
sapher2020 1 year ago
@sapher2020 of course. Not sand to the primer but prime the body work and sand it before painting.
