Ok, we all know the battle was real, the facts hold this to be true. How accurate the facts are over time may be disputed, We who have the Hellenic blood are proude of our history, so are the Persians, and their records match the greek record, also they honour the 300 as they repect the warriors they were. this comes from a friend who was Iraqi resistance. Myceneans. The Spartans didn't go to die but to hold off a bit because the main army from sparta couldn't go to battle there was no full moon yet. Then Leonidas was trapped and chose death than surrender overwhelmed by numbers. So proud to be greek!

I love this song and I like the Greeks. The Greeks & the Persian always viewed one-another with respect. The movie 300 tried to turn people against Persian as part of an immense propaganda to prepare the world for an attack on Iran.

cept it wasnt only 300 warriors.

it was 300 spartans .. other soldiers helped.

it was somewhere around 5,200 soldiers.

but they still fought a significant amount of persians

The movie 300 (which is what I commented on) is based on a comic book, which I read (ok I only looked at pictures) at the library. The director even admited it, and believe me those creative types don't like to share credit with anyone if they can help it.
