when i first buy kiva emperor,i didn't know if i could remove zanvat bat from zanvat sword.after two days. i tried to pull it's blade and it can... so zanvat bat is removeable

Actually I can remove the Kivat and Tatsulot from mine, which I got a few days ago. Kivat is held in by one peg, while Tatsulot is held in by 2. No major reason to do so as Kivat's wings are very thin and could easily bend and Tatsulot's pegs at least on mine are at different lengths so they don't let him lay flat. Kiva can hold either or in his more open hand easily and looks rather nice. Also I blame you for making me buy Kiva Emperor but I'm not upset.

@Jfireprime It's because the other forms of Kiva already had more recent releases within the Souchaku Henshin Line, while the other's that you mentioned didn't. S.H.Figuarts is trying to re-release figures that were once apart of the S.H. Line that are soon becoming outdated. (Kiva will be pne of the ones that will sadly be released last among the original S.H.'s)

I'm still a bit surprised that they didn't relase a regular Kiva figure first... oh well. Loved the intro, BTW - one has to wonder how you come up with some of this stuff! Oh So that's why they used the Emperor Form so much in the later parts of the show....You would think the Emperor suit would be heavier... Did they used real steel chains on Kiva suit? lol

My take was that the Emperor Form was the "true form" of the Armour of Kiva and the regular Kiva is just a power-down, "for beginners" kind of armour.

BTW the bat on the sword is removable by unpegging the blade out of the handle, and Tatsurotto is removable.

Eh, I don't particularally like Emperor Form, not because it was overused, that's not why. I just am not a fan of the design, I much prefer the normal Kiva form, it just works better for me, I like the 'biker' look that silver armor gives him, and his base form is simply my favorite Rider design.

Any word yet on if normal Kiva will get a release?

Those "rocker" hands are like for the conductor of an orchestra or symphony. The wand was (and sometimes now in the present) usually held by the middle and ring finger of the conductor back in the times of Beethoven and Mozart.

Just wanted to explain those hands. I always thought that was a cool touch Wataru had in Emperor form. =) btw, are you getting Hyper Kabuto?

Hey TJ, did u notice the figuarts released after double, are a lot lighter than the previous figuarts releases, I have both Dark and Emperor Kiva, and the Hyper Kabuto, and they are a lot lighter, is it because they use less die cast metal as the feet on these three figuarts are obviously plastic whats your take on this?

@projektrdm Yeah, more ornamented and accessory-loaded Figuarts are all plastic, no die cast. I really dont mind the lack, the toy still plays fine without it.

Nice review. Emperor Kiva is one of my favorite Figuarts - and I'm saying that as one of the people who got sick of the suit being overused on the show. One point to mention, though, Tatsulot (and Kivat, for that matter) actually is (are) removable. It's only attached by a couple of small pegs and I've seen images of it being plugged onto the SH Arms Weapons.

intro probably would've been better if you'd used Tatsulot(if you even have it), but it was a twist. anyways, Fuestles are said as "Fwe-slz", and the bat on the Zanvat Sword is called Zanvat, simply enough, and it's used to sharpen the blade on the fly

@krx50 I've actually reviewed Tatsulot and I'm quite proud of the review since I could provide english translations for it's phrases. But I knew I wanted to do the Decade Complete show so I opted for the K-Touch. That, and I didn't want to animate a ton of glowing bats.

Even if he's got a good souchaku it's still strange that they would start Kiva himself with emperor, I know the Kiva LINE started with Ixa (I still want to murder the Tamashii executives who thought it'd be funny to make Rising Ixa a Tamashii web exclusive D<) but still I feel we should have gotten Kiva first before Emperor.
