Its a cliffhanger the that was supposed to lead into a sequel or lead into the Legends series(where the world had been reset pretty much). It was less a subliminal message that they wanted to reset the series and more a story arc that leads into future games.
And think about it. In Legends both Volnutt and Juno(iirc that was its name) are Mega Men. It fits.

And this is the end of the original saga, because they were going to make "Extremus", but it was cancelled and Legends 3, but is was cancel too, so I think this is the end, very sad T.T

600 bucks that this idiot doesn't know that the Reploid data is available to everyone: its called Prairie and any other Reploid that somehow survived 200 years in the Guardians (unless Capcom retconed that too, which wouldn't surprise me given the whole "Albert made model W" thing they pulled out of their ass in this game).

i know many of people think megaman legends in chronological order is last because.. majority of the world looks at peace and the robots and humans are living together in much better harmony compared to most of the other series..
@zero11322 well that and most of everything in Legends are mostly all ruins of something ancient and there are a lot of familiar names that can be compared in all the other mega man series, that's in legends also.
@zero11322 The games are I believe. It goes in that order you listed. I urge you to look in the forest stage of megaman zero 2, and see how similiar the eyes are to reaverbot eyes and the eyes on the walls of the first stage in legends.
If Megaman ZX3 ever comes out the sequel should bring back Mega Man, as in the Mega Man form the original games, wouldn't that be something? Light creates X and leavies a capsule to upgrade Mega Man, but due to a malfunction he only awakens in the ZX timeline and somehow reacts to the Biometals. Pure Theories and Speculations, but that would be great specially making him confront Master Thomas and his new madness.
I think what is is trying to say is that there would be 2 capsules: one with X and the other with the orignal mega man from 1-10 but each in their respective ones, but what would happen is that X gets discovered while the orignal mega man's capsule malfunctioned putting him in a kind of statis in which he only awakens in the ZX timeline. I will say though that would be an intresting idea seing that all biometal comes from X's design and if the orignal gains the power, watch out!
Quite agreeded, but if that was the case I doubt he would acually fuse with the biometal versions of the others but rather just get one of their powers from it. Now I can be wrong but that's what I presume what would happen, as mega man is a robot and the biometal users are human and he only gains powers from the other robotic bosses he faces. :P
The PAL version of this game got fucked over, why remove voice acting, do we not deserve it at all...this is why I import my Mega Man games...but because of Nintendo's stupid region locking as of recent, I will have no choice for ZX3 =/ that's if they even release it in Europe...

this game was better than I excpected I just hope they either make a megaman X 9 or do a sequel of this. By somehow reviving megaman and zero. If I can add saomething. The bad guy of the next ZX ( probably thomas) should find a model S sigma. That way they would bring back the battle of megaman and zero against sigma. and they should make a game about the elf wars.
@amaterasu12123 actually in the megaman universe there are alternete dimensions so battle network and starforce are related, but they are diffrent worlds from the original, x, zero, and zx and etc.
The next game should have to branching story lines, one starts with a boy starting off with model E (elpizo) and a girl with model C (craft). Along the way, they should meet up and find model z and hopefully double megamerge somehow! That would be crazy... But imagine how fun it would be to completely blow away enemies with model c and rush and slash with model e?
Hey guys and girls! i thought of a new Megaman Zx game! It is called Project Megaman! It is when Master Thomas takes over and the humans and reploids have to stop him! And no biometals are needed! The people and reploids who are megamen will just shout Megamerge! thumbs up if this is a good idea!
I find it interesting that Master Thomas looks like Berial from Devil May Cry 4. (Capcom created both series.) Master Thomas is most likely to be a main villain & Master Mikhail will be a fake villain, more of an anti-villain/hero than a actual one, since he'll be brainwashed or something like that in the future. Master Thomas final forms will look like some religious/mythical demons. Simple just wait. It'll happen in a very long time. A prequel between Mega Man ZX & Advent will be nice.
If they make ZX 3 witch they will........ they should make the following people or reploids into biometals : Elpizo , Craft , Vile , and somehow find the original megaman cast like protoman , Bass and then throw in some Axel and so on . If i understand correctly, Albert, Thomas, and Mikail made Humans and Reploids "equal" by forcing them all to turn into Humanoids. However, Humanoids were purposely made to be inferior to both because they have corruptible circuitry AND are mortal. So apparently Thomas wanted to reserve human bodies AND immortality for somebody. Perhaps the MegaMen?
So this adds one more game to my Capcom wishlist: Mega Man X9, Mega Man Legends 3, and Mega Man ZX3.

@Jasou2 I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Mega Man Legends 3, Mega Man X9, and Mega Man ZX3 don't exist yet, so they can't be your favorites or mine. They're on my wishlist. Mega Man Legends 3 is in development though and shall come out for the 3DS.
As for Keiji Inafune, the "MegaMan creator," i know that he didn't create Mega Man originally, but he has been largely responsible for the expansion of the franchise. Even so, i doubt that his departure from Capcom will mean the end of MegaMan.

If Megaman ZX3 ever comes out the sequel should bring back Mega Man, as in the Mega Man form the original games, wouldn't that be something? Light creates X and leavies a capsule to upgrade Mega Man, but due to a malfunction he only awakens in the ZX timeline and somehow reacts to the Biometals. Pure Theories and Speculations, but that would be great specially making him confront Master Thomas and his new madness.

I think what is is trying to say is that there would be 2 capsules: one with X and the other with the orignal mega man from 1-10 but each in their respective ones, but what would happen is that X gets discovered while the orignal mega man's capsule malfunctioned putting him in a kind of statis in which he only awakens in the ZX timeline. I will say though that would be an intresting idea seing that all biometal comes from X's design and if the orignal gains the power, watch out!

Quite agreeded, but if that was the case I doubt he would acually fuse with the biometal versions of the others but rather just get one of their powers from it. Now I can be wrong but that's what I presume what would happen, as mega man is a robot and the biometal users are human and he only gains powers from the other robotic bosses he faces. :P

The PAL version of this game got fucked over, why remove voice acting, do we not deserve it at all...this is why I import my Mega Man games...but because of Nintendo's stupid region locking as of recent, I will have no choice for ZX3 =/ that's if they even release it in Europe...

so to get this straight it starts with
1- megaman
2-megaman X
3-megaman Zero
4-Megaman ZX
5- Battle network
6-starforce
this game was better than I excpected I just hope they either make a megaman X 9 or do a sequel of this. By somehow reviving megaman and zero. If I can add saomething. The bad guy of the next ZX ( probably thomas) should find a model S sigma. That way they would bring back the battle of megaman and zero against sigma. and they should make a game about the elf wars.

@amaterasu12123 actually in the megaman universe there are alternete dimensions so battle network and starforce are related, but they are diffrent worlds from the original, x, zero, and zx and etc.

The next game should have to branching story lines, one starts with a boy starting off with model E (elpizo) and a girl with model C (craft). Along the way, they should meet up and find model z and hopefully double megamerge somehow! That would be crazy... But imagine how fun it would be to completely blow away enemies with model c and rush and slash with model e?

Hey guys and girls! i thought of a new Megaman Zx game! It is called Project Megaman! It is when Master Thomas takes over and the humans and reploids have to stop him! And no biometals are needed! The people and reploids who are megamen will just shout Megamerge! thumbs up if this is a good idea!

I find it interesting that Master Thomas looks like Berial from Devil May Cry 4. (Capcom created both series.) Master Thomas is most likely to be a main villain & Master Mikhail will be a fake villain, more of an anti-villain/hero than a actual one, since he'll be brainwashed or something like that in the future. Master Thomas final forms will look like some religious/mythical demons. Simple just wait. It'll happen in a very long time. A prequel between Mega Man ZX & Advent will be nice.

If they make ZX 3 witch they will........ they should make the following people or reploids into biometals : Elpizo , Craft , Vile , and somehow find the original megaman cast like protoman , Bass and then throw in some Axel and so on . The only reason i say this is because i'm tired of the same biometals

@flyflyfly4 no, it is not. they are completetly different things, and Zero didnt stay on ragnarok, if you payed attention to the zero 4 ending, you see zeros helmet in pieces on the ground...with his crystal missing, and someones silhuette on top of a mountain(allouette aka prairie) ragnarok was COMPLETELY destroyed, gone, nowhere to be found, scattered around the world hitting random people in the face.

so basically.The Megamen you defeat ingame,weren't dead after all?Wow.This is really interesting.I know what happened to the original data.X and Z were blasted by a guy named Sigma (or in MMZ he was killed in Ragnarok crash).Harpuia,Leviathan,Fefnir,and Phantom were killed because of Omega Zero.and A.Well,who knows what happened to him!Hmm.This proves Albert knew something about Zero's death crash and the past guardian reploids.Hope this leads to a new game!

If i understand correctly, Albert, Thomas, and Mikail made Humans and Reploids "equal" by forcing them all to turn into Humanoids. However, Humanoids were purposely made to be inferior to both because they have corruptible circuitry AND are mortal. So apparently Thomas wanted to reserve human bodies AND immortality for somebody. Perhaps the MegaMen?
So this adds one more game to my Capcom wishlist: Mega Man X9, Mega Man Legends 3, and Mega Man ZX3.
I can't wait for the epic conclusion! ^_^

@927541 The ZX series is a distant-future continuation of the Zero series.... let me add some theories to the mix for you.
In the end of the series, Zero sacrifices his life to destroy Weil, who claims to be the original creator of all Reploids (which means even Zero from the original X games... And according to the series, unless he had a lab assistant, it was Dr. Cain. Different name?)
Weil was the first "humanoid" as you dubbed it, he was a human but he had his human body replaced by... (ctd)

@927541 err not to be a downer at all (btw those 3 megaman games were my favorites too u have good taste ;D) but i read in a recent issue of gameinformer that the megaman creator decided to retire he claimed that his idea was unoriginal, so im not sure if new games will be coming out D: we can only hope.

@Jasou2 I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Mega Man Legends 3, Mega Man X9, and Mega Man ZX3 don't exist yet, so they can't be your favorites or mine. They're on my wishlist. Mega Man Legends 3 is in development though and shall come out for the 3DS.
As for Keiji Inafune, the "MegaMan creator," i know that he didn't create Mega Man originally, but he has been largely responsible for the expansion of the franchise. Even so, i doubt that his departure from Capcom will mean the end of MegaMan.

As for my real favorite games of each of the series, i'd have to say X4 for the X series and Legends 2 for the Legends series, and for the others i'm not sure.

SO what does thing ending tell you? is there another ZX coming up in the near future? if so thats fucked up, I know one ova is good after the zero series ended but a third one? I kind of see it pointless unless they change the title, since Dr lights and Dr wily's last creations are long gone.

@DarkFlip22 Why change the title? It's still part of the Megaman timeline, even if it is set over 500 years ahead of the classical series.
Changing the title would make it a little confusing as to if it's part of the series or not, am I wrong?

Ciel created those Biomental to fight against model W and now they are fighting Vent,Aile, Grey and Ashe?? so they are bad guys. Helping model W. But i remember that Ciel said she was afraid biomental were used for evil and not for good..

this is all messed up, in megaman zero, and megaman zx, ragnorak pieces turned into model w, and that serpent guy used the core, but was destroyed by Vent/Aile, then this time, Albert claims model w as his invention?!?! I say again,.. messed up story line, ragnorak looks nothing like ororboros or whatever. also, did thomas murder that mikhail huy before he went to the hunter's camp? because it suggests that.

@redjokerwolf That is the only way the exsistance of those 4 with bio-metal could happen considering they didn't kill or critically injure Vent/Aile, and it is doubtful they would just let them leave with it. Personally I think it is just a cookie cutter way to make another game if they change their minds.
